As a Malaysian citizen, I am defending my constitutional right for absolute peace, security and freedom to be provided by the current Barisan Nasional government, even under adverse situations and circumstances caused by reckless and irresponsible politicians of the day.

As a party member of Umno and BN, I will continue to advocate the democratic rights and principle in order to ensure that the party we love remains in power until political indoctrination changes for the continued prosperity of this wonderful country known as Malaysia through the ballot.

It is one Malaysia now, as deputy prime minister Najib Razak said in his interactive blog, as he proceeds to inculcate a new multiracial community among our people in the process of nation building in the years ahead beyond the racial horizon.

The PM designate has assured us, young and old, that things will have to change within the political paradigm and governance in order to suit the aspirations of the populace today.

Having said the above and from the very bottom of my heart as a patriotic Malaysian, who had scorned and refused the offer of permanent status in a foreign country upon retirement from my public service, I have no qualms to reiterate my unconditional support to the PM and government that the Internal Security Act and Official Secrets Act continue in order to protect the fundamental well being of our own citizens.

However, since the punitive supreme law was passed in 1960 with the view of combating the atrocities and spread of communism and terrorists acts of violence, etc, the government should perhaps review the ISA and OSA in order to suit current situations.

The detention of up 60 days pending trial and legal address is considered very reasonable, when compared to most other countries, including Singapore and some of our Asean partners.

In the light of modern technology, the very acts of treason and sabotage to the nation’s overall security, which ultimately affects political, economic and social stability, should not be compromised. It may sound draconian but are never in violation of human rights as perceived by western powers, though their punitive laws are worse.

I dare bet with my twilight life that even if Anwar Ibrahim comes into power with his loose political alliance in Pakatan Rakyat, he as the PM will also adopt such punitive laws.

It may not be known as ISA and for that we shall leave it to Anwar’s political illusion and imagination of power eccentricity.

I strongly appeal and urge Anwar to come out of his political cocoon, to uphold national security at its highest level and behave like a loving Malaysian with sanity.

Anwar claims he is no security threat to the nation but how can he justify his barbaric acts of treason in commanding a large opposition audience that has threatened the nation by sabotaging its political, economic and social environment right under our noses?

Anwar must be absolutely 'insane' to believe his actions have not affected the executive management of this country and caused foreign and local fund managers and prospective investors to shift their financial portfolios out of Malaysia.

I do not subscribe to the arguments, legal or otherwise, that our fellow Malaysians should continue to disrupt national security, peace and stability. Malaysia is not a banana republic and does not belong to Anwar and his supporters.

For all those who are ungrateful and unhappy that the BN government has cared for the continued well being of their children for more than half a century, may oppose the BN government at the ballot box every five years.

How could Anwar and Pakatan run the federal government, with only 7 months of power in their winning states compared to BN’s more than 51 years of governance?

Anwar should not boast that he is getting favorable foreign support, if he comes to power as even now, foreign money helps him create political, economic and social unrest and instability in this country.

Anwar can be in a state of denial, but don’t play with transparency and I rightly urge the Anti-Corruption Agency to investigate this issue in the most tactful and professional way.
