Altantuya - 'Nothing to laugh about, Najib'

vox populi big thumbnail ‘A young woman, a foreigner to our land, was brutally murdered by our own countrymen. How can the leader of our land laugh and make a 'tongue in cheek comment' while talking about it?'

On Altantuya issue 'haunts' Najib in China

Essence: A young woman, a foreigner to our land, was brutally murdered by our own countrymen/women.

How can the leader of our land laugh and make a 'tongue in cheek comment' while talking about it?

Where is the outrage, the sadness, the shame or the empathy for the deceased and her bereaved family?

Where is the desire for the truth to be revealed, the culprits to be punished, for justice to be done?

He may not be involved in the horrible crime, but as the leader of our country, he must stand and speak for truth and justice.

He cannot just laugh and be happy that there is no evidence against him, that ‘they've not offered any evidence at all ...'

Such a behaviour and response from our PM leaves me cold and comfortless - and very sad.

On G uan Eng tells Utusan reporter to leave

Respect Press Freedom - Not Utusan: I strongly believe press freedom should be upheld by Pakatan.

But when a newspaper that does not respect the rule of law and hides behind a big bully, then what Lim Guan Eng did was right.

Let's see if they will write another YB Lim story similar to the ‘YB Josephine' story.

Utusan, you can eliminate all opposition leaders but only in your dreams that Chamil Wariya dreams.

On Kayveas: Be wary of 'scorpions' in our midst

Ong: ‘So that was how I met the scorpion. I brought him in, made him a member and gave him a branch,' he said.

There's the proof that PPP is the personal property of Kayveas. At least, that's what he considers PPP to be, his personal property.

It is up to him to give memberships and branches to whom he wants. His outrageous statement was made as part of the president's opening address at the PPP AGM and it appears that it did not draw any protests from the rest of the PPP membership.

Obviously Kayveas has got a whole bunch of zombies in his PPP. Of course, there is also a cloned version of PPP which belongs to Murugiah.

On Student: Cops beat me black and blue

JTB: Khalid Abu Bakar was sure Koh Chon Weng was drunk and that he was abusive and aggressive and that he punched the table and broke the glass door.

You expect the Malaysian public to believe that this 20-year-old college student - being handcuffed - was capable of doing what was described.

He was tested for drug abuse but you chaps never saw it fit to conduct a test to see if his blood alcohol level was above the permissible limit.

You know, I am sure the Malaysian public also believes that Anwar Ibrahim's black eye was self-inflicted while in police custody.

As a parent of a 20-year-old boy, I know how Koh feels and we are 100% supporting him.

I do hope Gobind Singh Deo will sue the police for a substantial sum of money. Many businessman still support the PDRM's calls for donation.

This year, they can say they are from Bukit Aman for all I care, I will not donate a single sen to their cause. To say I am outraged is an understatement.

On 'Chin Peng not forgiven'

Stephen Ng: I was reported that some 2,000 people led by Pasir Mas MP Ibrahim Ali demonstrated ‘peacefully' against the return of former leader of Communist Party of Malaysia, Chin Peng.

Anything could have gone wrong with over 2,000 people congregating at a public place when feelings are high, yet the police did nothing to arrest anyone or ask the crowd to disperse.

When a group of candlelight vigil demonstrators demonstrated in Brickfields, they were immediately arrested.

In fact, the video recording is being watched by the world all over and it shows that the behaviour of the Brickfields OCPD is anything but civilised.

Political activist Wong Chin Huat was arrested for calling on the people to wear black to mourn the death of democracy in the Silver State.

Five lawyers were also taken in when they asked to see the detainees.

Such is the irony that we see in our police force, which had to be addressed with the setting up of a royal commission.

Still the government is still dragging its feet over the setting-up of the IPCMC. I wonder why.

On Air France crash mystery deepens

Lim Chong Leong: I do not see that at this time and age, we cannot make black boxes in non-flammable material that floats and which can detected by GPS.

It should have already been made compulsory by all international standards.
