Penang Pakatan Rakyat Youth has come out aggressively against global public relations firm Apco Worldwide for its alleged links with Israel, saying it should be forced to leave Malaysia immediately.

NONE Penang PKR Youth secretary Syed Mikael Rizal Aidid (left) urged the police to launch a thorough investigation into allegations that the 1Malaysia campaign is linked to Apco and the Israeli government.

He said Malaysians are deeply concerned about the allegations and exposé by Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim in Parliament yesterday in linking the three entities.

Anwar produced two documents to back his allegations - one was the agreement signed between Apco and the Malaysian government, which was witnessed by Premier Najib Abdul Razak's press secretary Tengku Sharifuddin Tengku Ahmad.

“We are deeply concerned about the security of this country as one of the international advisers to Apco is Doron Bergerbest-Eilon, the former protection and security chief who heads the Israeli Security Agency,” said Syed Mikael.

He was speaking to journalists after lodging a report on the matter at the Jalan Patani police station in Penang.

“(Bergerbest-Eilon) was clearly involved in the agenda to massacre and murder, dubbed the ‘Massive Killings’ of Muslims in Palestine.

“(Apco) has an agenda and is supported by influential individuals who...lean towards the condemned illegal regime of the Zionist-Israel.”

He rubbished Apco’s denial that it has no links with Israel or 1Malaysia, calling on all Malaysians to reject this and rise up against the ‘neo-colonialism’ sponsored by Israel.

“We are not willing to gamble away the fate and safety of Malaysians so readily, and we will not allow the Umno-led Barisan Nasional to engage with a well-known Zionist-Israel regime that is cruel and has behaved like an animal towards the people of Palestine.”

Anwar, the Permatang Pauh parliamentarian, had claimed alleged that staff-members of Apco were already working with the Najib government even before the contract was signed through the recommendation of Ethos Consultancy, a company founded by Najib’s former special officer Omar Mustapha.

‘Malaysians in jeopardy’

Penang DAP Socialist Youth secretary Ng Wei Aik said he holds the prime minister responsible for gambling away the lives of Malaysian for empty slogans like 1Malaysia.

NONE “He speaks about 1Malaysia but he has jeopardised the lives of Malaysians. We are in danger of exposing our country’s defence secrets to Apco,” said Ng (right) , the DAP assemblyperson for Komtar.

Penang PAS Youth executive member Mohd. Farouk Abdul Rahman regretted that Umno , while championing the anti-Israel cause, has actually been in cahoots with the Zionists.

“Lets’ chase Apco out of this country,” he said.
