There has been no let-up by BN to its smear campaign, as its leaders parade a litany of purported controversies to convince Hulu Selangor voters of the supposed flaws in the character and morality of PKR leaders.

"He says he no longer drinks," said the CM, smiling as he recounted the defence put up by leaders from the opposition Pakatan Rakyat.

"I am not trying to tell on you (Zaid). I only hear stories. It is not me who is saying it...," he added.

“Is it true? Some say that Zaid drinks. (But) now he no longer does...,” said Ali.

NONE The chief minister also sought to capitalise on the issue of Selangor exco Elizabeth Wong, whose intimate photos made headlines in April last year.

"There are those who defended Elizabeth Wong, who was naked and exposed,” said an indignant Ali.

“Right? Who has seen her photos?" he asked, to hoots and laughter from the audience.

Half-way into the event, however, coverage by Malaysiakini had to stop due to interventions from persons associated with Pasir Salak member of Parliament Tajuddin Abdul Rahman ( below ).

NONE Three men, who refused to identify themselves, approached and ordered Malaysiakini ’s video team from recording just as Tajuddin started speaking.

"I ask that you stop recording. Datuk does not want to be taped," said one member of the group.

Though the Malaysiakini crew continued to film for as long as they could, they were forced to stop to prevent anything untoward from happening.

Malaysiakini was eventually told to leave altogether by a man who identified himself as the chairperson of the Area Development Committee.

Amongst others present at the programme were Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Mohamad Hassan, and Felcra chairman Ramli Bohani.
