11.15am: BN candidate P Kamalanathan will be interviewed on RTM's Radio Selangor before going on a walkabout in Kuala Kubu Baru town (noon) and Serendah town (1pm).

NONE 11.15am: All offensive billboard and posters, including those attacking Anwar Ibrahim as "pengkhianat " are said to have been taken down by the Election Commission enforcement personnel.

11.30am: In a media statement, Lim Kit Siang asked whether the 3,000-odd votes - which made up the majority votes cast in March 2008 for the three state assembly seats in Hulu Bernam - will return to cast their votes for the ruling BN coalition on April 25.

“Will these 3,000 voters go back to BN in the by-election?” said.

“It is clear that the BN strategists are also zeroing on these 3,000 “split” votes in the last general elections, which explains the talk emanating from Umno camps about BN winning the by-election with 3,000 majority on April 25.

11.58am: BN candidate P Kamalanathan, when met on his campaign trail, said that he does not have anything to do with the character assassination of his opponent Zaid Ibrahim.

"I want to win this election, that's all I'm doing".

12.25pm: The much anticipated press conference by a former aide to Zaid Ibrahim has been cancelled. The event was organised by Selangor Umno deputy liasion chief Noh Omar. It was anticipated that further exposé on Zaid would be made.

12.30pm: PAS will hold a special press conference at its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur on issues being raised during the campaign.

1.00pm: PKR candidate Zaid Ibrahim will announce his 'mission' for Hulu Selangor voters at a press conference in Kuala Kubu Baru.

1.05pm: Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad weighs in on the attacks against Zaid Ibrahim for consuming alcohol and owning race horses in the past.

"All is fair in love and war, and elections," he quipped, when met at a function in Kuala Lumpur. 

NONE 1.45pm: MCA vice-president and Raub MP Ng Yen Yen denies claims by the Bukit Koman Anti-Cyanide Committee ( right ) that the use of cyanide in a gold mine near their homes was hazardous.

""Scientific reports have proven that cyanide used in the gold mine is not hazardous... DAP is desperate," she said when met at the federal government media centre in Kuala Kubu Baru. 

2.00pm: Ng Yen Yen scheduled to visit Asam Kumbang, Kuala Kubu Baru. The Bukit Koman Anti-Cyanide Committee will try to meet her there.

2.05pm: Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim to present mock cheques to Chinese schools in the Hulu Selangor vicinity. According to Khalid's aide, the state government donates RM6,000 to schools annually. 

"This was planned long before," said the aide.

3.10pm: PKR's Zaid Ibrahim bumped into his rival, P Kamalanathan this afternoon.

According to Bernama , the BN candidate stopped by a restaurant in Taman Seri Teratai together with his wife S Shobana after meeting voters in Kuala Kubu Baharu town.

As he was having a plate of nasi goreng, PKR's candidate and former minister Zaid Ibrahim walked into the restaurant to have lunch with his wife Suliana Shamsuddin.

Both candidates hugged each other and talked briefly before posing for the camera with their spouses as supporters and photographers captured the moment.

3.15pm:  DAP advisor and Ipoh Timur MP Lim Kit Siang tries to defend Zaid Ibrahim in the Dewan Rakyat.

According to his Twitter post, he challenged Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, his deputy Muhyiddin Hassin, Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein and Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin to state that they never consumed alcohol before. 

"Nobody dare stand up," wrote Lim. 

4.30pm: Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein scheduled to attend 'gotong royong' at SJK(T) Ladang Nigel Gardner, Kuala Kubu Baru.

6.50pm: Selangor MCA liasion chief Donald Lim said the 1Malaysia campaign has a positive impact on the Chinese voters and he expects BN to garner 50 percent of the Chinese votes, compared to 30 percent gained during the 2008 general elections.

7.00pm: DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng will attend a 'Selamatkan Malaysia' (Save Malaysia) concert at the

Serendah community hall. Other Pakatan leaders are expected to attend.

7.25pm: According to Bernama , Selangor BN deputy chairman Noh Omar said after four days of campaigning, "there were positive signs from the voters".

"The BN candidate is also facing a candidate from the opposition which is ruling the state," cautioned the agriculture minister after opening a course on marketing at a resort in Kalumpang.

9.00pm: Deputy premier Muhyiddin Yassin scheduled to speak in Taman Sri Liam, Ulu Yam Baru.

9.05pm: BN and Pakatan are pulling equal numbers in Serendah. BN, through the Information Ministry, organised a cultural program at SRJK (C) Serendah, attended by large number of school children. Activities includes drawing competition and quizzes.

This program is attended by Deputy Information Minister Heng Seai Kie, Minister in charge of National Unity Koh Tsu Koon and MCA vice-president Donald Lim. The crowd size is estimated at 800.

Just 50 metres away, Pakatan is holding a ceramah. Though initially small, the crowd swelled to about 1,000 people as soon as Anwar Ibrahim took the stage.

Other speakers scheduled to speaker include Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim, state senior exco member Teresa Kok, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, Chua Hui Meng and Zaid Ibrahim.  

9.10pm: Light moment to a heated campaign during the beginning of BN ceramah at Ulu Yam Baru.

Problems began immediately after the emcee called on the "good citizens" present to rise up for the Negaraku and BN official song.

Minutes after, the song still failed to play and the emcee called on all to be seated. A second attempt was made but only the Negaraku was played.

" Kita merancang, tapi Tuhan menentukan (Humans may plan, but ultimately God decides)," said the emcee, prompting laughter from the multi-racial crowd of about 500 people.

Among speakers at this event are Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, former Hulu Selangor PKR division treasurer Dr Halili Rahmat and BN candidate P Kamalanathan.

10.00pm: At Serendah, Penang Chief Minister and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng defends Zaid Ibrahim over Umno's attacks on his morals.

"We have all been young once. Who among you have not went astray? But Haji Zaid Ibrahim has repented. He has sought forgiveness from God... Why does Umno want to get involved? Is Umno a higher authority than God?" he asked. 

10.30pm: Former Hulu Selangor PKR division treasurer Dr Halili Rahmat submits his party application form to Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin at a function at Ulu Yam Baru.

Halili said his 84-year-old father, who is an Umno member, cried when he heard of his resignation from PKR and "returned to him". 

Midnight: BN candidate P Kamalanathan will hold a special press conference with the Chinese press.
