'To ask a controversy-laden and tainted MACC to sue Barry Wain is akin to asking a known robber to look after a bank's safety vaults.'
MP urges MACC to sue 'Malaysian Maverick' author
Fairness for All: There is no way that Umno will sue Barry Wain as it will open up a can of worms since Dr Mahathir Mohamad knows all their secrets and will reveal it all. If Mahathir's secrets are revealed through this case, they are all finished. So it's a case of 'you scratch my back, I scratch yours' between Mahathir and all those corrupt Umno goons.
The problem with corruption in our government is that since they are all corrupt, they have to watch each others' back. If action is taken against one of them, he will spill the beans on the rest, so it's better for all of them to keep their mouths shut.
This is why MACC closes all high-profile case such as (former Selangor menteri besar) Dr Mohd Khir Toyo's palace, the purchase of Sukhoi jets and many others.
Joe: Like what the good doc says, only cowards sue. But cowards can never sue because they'll be caught in their own web of lies. They'll have a field day hanging out their dirty laundry in the bright sunshine.
Cala: Klang MP Charles Santiago is being mischievous here. To ask a controversy- laden and tainted MACC to sue Barry Wain is akin to asking a known robber to look after a bank's safety vaults.
Anonymous: Sue and stir up all the 28 years of shit? You must be crazy.
Court throws out defence contractor's RM480 mil suit
Kgen: Now you know who controls the court. No witnesses called, no grounds of judgment given. The case is dismissed and justice Abdul Wahab Patail promoted. What chance does Anwar Ibrahim have in this type of judiciary?
MorningSun: Perhaps the court is not a gangster but rather a puppet who receive order from his master. His master told him to act such but will give the excuse only on Friday. Only with the BN bin Umno government can such matters happened.
Swipenter: Now you know why foreign investors doing business and investing here want arbitration done outside the country in either Singapore or Hong Kong, if and when disputes arise.
Mak Orang: Decision made based solely on written submissions? Prior to this, we have MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) sending questions by courier. Is this a new trend, a new cost-cutting measure?
Anonymous: This is how low our judiciary has sunk, dismissing cases that are allegedly against the wrongdoings of Umno/BN. If it were against the opposition, they would come out in full force to crucify them. Truly Malaysia, unmistakably Bolehsia!
Devan: The judge throwing out the suit shows that the courts lack integrity. If this case goes to trial and if Lardac (Langkawi R&D Academy) wins, who will pay for it? The taxpayers. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Either way, the rakyat gets screwed over - again.
Fairnessforall: Judge to lawyer: Do you think that all judges sitting here are idiots?
Lawyer keeps quiet.
Judge: Why are you not answering me?
Lawyer: I don't know what to say. If I say yes, it will be contempt of court. If I say no, it will be perjury.
Lover Boy: Abdul Wahab, I am sure the company will appeal your decision and one of the grounds of appeal will be, can you conduct a full trial without calling witnesses?
The whirlwind journey of PI Bala
Anonymous: Bala, I salute you for your courage to face those who will try all sorts of things to make you shut up. Since that you have got to the point of no return, please reveal all you know and show to the world the proof that you have so that this will help Pakatan Rakyat win the next general election.
It will be the only way for you and your loved ones to be able to return home safely. Until we have you back in the country, please take good care. We need you to bring this corrupted regime down for a better Malaysia.
Chee Yin: I will trust you on face-value basis. While I know that you might be corrupted with greed of money, at least you are still have enough conscience to reveal the truth. And at least you are willing to give something back in return for your greed, compared to those corrupted people who take everything and give back nothing in return.
We all know that Malaysia is a country rotten to the core and that it needs a major overhaul of the judiciary and the government.
Siapa: P Balasubramaiam, now that you have came out with a much clearer mind, people will probably understand your on-going predicament. You should refrain from giving any political statements that will work against you. God bless you.
Anonymous: What a country we live in - people get caned for drinking beer but murderers get away.
MACC quizzes five Hulu S'gor councillors
JJ Dev: MACC chief Abu Kassim Mohamed, please convince us that it is worth the time and money spent for the commission to quiz the Hulu Selangor councillors. Does the name Dr Mohd Khir Toyo ring any bells for you and the MACC?
Every time, MACC kacau Pakatan Rakyat councillors, do you realise that 100,000 voters start hating Najib Razak's government. As the GE13 is fast approaching, go ahead and kacau some more Pakatan councillors because you are not going to get anything out of them.
Go after the Khir fellow instead. He will assist you to rope in more of the Umno thieves.
Joe: The MACC is a blunt instrument and can only chop one way. The councillors better file police reports declaring they are in good health and are mentally sound before they present themselves at the MACC office.
Michael Ng: Every day, we hear that they are prosecuting or investigating councillors and politicians from Pakatan-led states only. Are all the other BN-held states councillors and politicians so sparkling clean?
Kean Jin: MACC should quiz the big fishes - the chief ministers of Sabah and Sarawak. Why only go for the opposition? From ACA to MACC, it makes no difference - only the name is different.
OMG: When the government of the day makes no attempt to hide the disparity of justice and oppression, we must be fearful. The gloves are off. There is too much at stake.
