KayKay: We can expect Dr Mahathir Mohamad to flog his theory that politics needs a lot of money. By implication, this means it's okay for politicians, whether in government or outside, to award themselves government projects through nominees under the guise of development.

So, government projects can ultimately cost twice, triple or even up to 10 times the actual contract price charged by the contractor down the line from the gravy train. The purchase of the two submarines, which we don't need because our seas are too shallow, is a case in point.

RM500 million vanished into thin air because Najib Razak decided his buddy Abdul Razak Baginda (and wife) could be relied on to provide ‘support services’ for the two submarines. This is simply outright theft from the public treasury by Razak Baginda on behalf of Najib, who appointed him as his nominee.            

No wonder Razak Baginda fled to England. This issue is not going to go away. Razak Baginda should return the RM500 million.

From the best selling book by Barry Wain, it mentioned that you said, "I can't remember or its equivalent" 14 times during the 90-minute testimony. That works out to be I 'forget' every 6.4 minutes - a world record?

When I read the headline, I was thinking, yes, Dr Mahathir can testify but an easy way out is, “Semua sudah lupa”. Otherwise he may in trouble, too. It is indeed a very sad day for Malaysia as it looks like no one trusts and believes in Malaysia's court system anymore.

Cala: Mahathir will be severely condemned by research scholars pertaining to his style of leadership, given as he is to "arbitrariness, repression and severe lapses in governance" (Wain, 2009, p. 342, para 3).

Steven For Malaysia: Ha, if they want to prosecute all the nonsense cases, the prisons would be overcrowded. Just look at all the white elephant projects in the country. Didn’t these took off by providing misleading information?

ISA@Kertih: Faekah Husin, if you wanted a PKR crony company, just say so. The ‘pasir’ (sand) business is essentially a Pakatan Rakyat crony company serving to fill up the party coffers. So you want the state’s water, too?

Faekah wants to score points. Khalid Ibrahim did not say this, but with you as his assistant, the MB should quit and let you take over.

Find solutions, don’t blame. That’s how things are done in today’s world. After two years, Pakatan is still blaming BN for its shortcomings. That’s the trouble when you have been in the opposition too long - you’re still behaving like the opposition.

I am just sick of Pakatan Rakyat. They had a good chance but all the infighting and the corruption being exposed by DAP town councillors and the racial wisecracks of DAP makes me wonder - why vote for Pakatan when they are no different?

It’s only two years but they are doing everything they promised not to do - nepotism, cronyism, unaccoutability, unfullfilled promises, corruption, clamping on media, etc. All these are the now trademarks of PKR. So, better the devil I know - BN - for now.

P Dev Anand Pillai: The present government has to carry the woes created by the former government who didn't care two hoots about its people, thinking that the people of Selangor will all pay without question.

This brave woman (Faekah) is doing what most male politicians fail to do, that is, to call a spade a spade! Whether she becomes the next female MB and the first one at that for the state of Selangor is another issue. At least she has the guts.

It’s not about behaving like the opposition, it’s all about dealing with a regime that has socially engineered and psychologically moulded the minds of its people to not be able to think out of the box.

Too bad, as long as these kinds of false bogeymen are created to keep these poor folks in the dark, entire generations stand to lose. Go on Faekah, hit the nail hard and the people of Selangor will know who they want as their government.

ACR: Without question, irreparable damage was caused by Umno-BN in the last 50 years, this Selangor water fiasco being one of many. Certain issues are not easily reversible or corrected by the present government.

Mohd Khir Toyo's administration signed an agreement with Syabas. Syabas is now suing the current state government. Good on Faekah for releasing the tariff hikes Khir signed away.

The current government has to find legal means to set aside this obviously lopsided agreement and this would take time and effort. There is a reason Faekah is making press statements - she is the political secretary of the MB, who admitted he doesn't want to be bogged down by politics.

Multi Racial: Your highness Sultan of Perak, see what happens when you put up an unpopular government not elected by the people? Anyway, Perakians will take the bull by the horn in the next election and correct the situation. We don't want Zambry Abd Kadir and we don't want R Ganesan.

Concerned Citizen: The state representatives are supposed to be discussing and debating on issues affecting Perak, not trying to be cameramen and start taking photos or movies. Be more professional.

Let the referendum on the Perak government be during the 13th general election. But for now, allow the state government do its work for the rakyat and state. No one is benefiting from all this ruckus. Be more professional.

Patriot: Every action taken by the illegitimate government of Perak is a slap on its own face. They have no dignity, no character, are shameless and greedy for power and glory. But little do these 'pretenders' to the throne realise they are further alienating themselves from the very own people they think are in favour of their actions.

In order to enforce their seizure of power they use the royalty and the enforcement units to protect them. They avoid a fresh state election because they are fearful of the outcome in which the slight majority gained through dubious means will eventually turn out to be a landslide victory for the original rightful party.
