JAKARTA - Indonesian police today said they are hunting six new suspects including two Malaysians in the Bali bombing.
The six names are in addition to five wanted Indonesians whose photos and descriptions were published last month.
Edward Aritonang, police spokesman for the investigation, identified the Malaysians as Dr Azahari, who is believed to have supplied bomb-making expertise, and Noor Din Moth Pop, who is believed to have raised funds.
Aritonang, speaking on ElShinta radio, called Azhari "an expert in weaponry and bomb making."
"He was tasked with an explosion in another country but he encountered difficulties and joined the team in Indonesia and gave instruction on how to assemble a bomb."
The four other new suspects are believed to be Indonesians.
They include Zulkarnain - alias Arif Sunarso, alias Daud - who was mentioned in documents seized from suspects as the commander of Askari Islamiyah, a militia linked to the Jemaah Islamiah (JI) regional terror network.
