DENPASAR, Indonesia - Inspector-General of Police Norian Mai promised today to help Indonesian police investigate the Bali bombing.

Norian's remarks came the day after Indonesia announced it was seeking two Malaysians the first foreign suspects in the case.

"We discussed what kind of assistance the Malaysian police can provide, and secondly, how the investigation... in Malaysia can help the investigations here," he told reporters after meeting Bali police chief Budi Setiawan at the police headquarters here.

Norian also visited Amrozi and Imam Samudra, two key suspects in the case.

Later in the day, deputy home affairs minister Zainal Abidin Zin said the two wanted Malaysians - Doctor Azhari, believed to have supplied bomb-making expertise, and Noordin Mohammad Thob, who is suspected of raising funds - were already high on Malaysia's wanted list.

"We have been looking for the two individuals for a long time and we know that they are involved in several militant groups that can threaten national security," he was quoted as saying by Malaysia's official Bernama news agency.
