'The true signs of a weak leader is to blame others first before himself. Anyway, come the 13
th
general election, Najib will be not collateral but actual damage.'
Najib: I was collateral damage in '99 GE
Anonymous: Najib Razak, you know why you lost badly in 1999? The reason is because at that time you did not have much postal votes. In 2004 and 2008 (especially 2008), you were rescued by a mountain of postal votes.
Abil: Little does Najib realise that he may be the cause of BN failing in the next general election because of the Anwar Ibrahim sodomy saga, and BN will then be the victim by collateral damage.
Art Chan: Najib was arrogant before Pekan in 1999. Ask the average person in Pekan. If not for his 241-vote win, he would still be the same. That minuscule win brought him down to earth. But if Najib thinks he will have it easy for the next general election, he is wrong.
The unsolved Altantuya Shaariibuu's missing immigration records, her murder, and the death of Teoh Beng Hock, etc, will haunt him in the next election.
Matrix: Actually it is we, the rakyat of Malaysia, who are the collateral damage of Najib's incompetency.
Lim Chong Leong: The true signs of a weak leader is to blame others first before himself. Anyway, come the 13 th general election, he will be not suffering collateral but actual damage. He is after all just a backdoor PM and has yet to face the acid test of an election.
At least Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had one test in which he came out tops. The sad thing is, he squandered that. But Najib is scared of the people that he claims to lead, refuses to accept responsibility and blames others for his poor show. From the ‘buy elections', we can already see how he is faring.
TKC: Mr PM, if you think that you suffered from collateral damage in 1999, why are you still persevering with Sodomy II?
Zaid backers tell Lee to zip it, warn of 'Azmin cartel'
Rolls-Royce: My faith in PKR and to some extent Pakatan Rakyat is fading fast. Somehow, most members of opposition are like a basket of carrots. Everyone you pick up is a head. Please, many of you have only limited abilities and capabilities. Please don't aspire higher than what you are capable of doing.
Tham Chee Keong: I have high hopes that PKR party members would be a showcase to all these Umnoputras in terms of behaviour, mentality and actions. I hope the respective leaders will instill civilised behaviour and mentality into all their members before they get worse. We want respectable and honourable Pakatan members in the government.
Oranje: Anwar Ibrahim and Pakatan have the habit of kicking out any reformist who speaks a word of justice. They talk about reform but mind you, PKR is a party of political rejects. All Umno, MCA, Gerakan and MIC rejects fill the party. Zaid Ibrahim, however, is no reject. He left Umno on grounds of principle.
He is the only known leader of Umno who left as he disagreed with government decisions. Anwar formed PKR for his selfish reasons. His dream is to be the PM and that's all. Zaid has a vision of a democratic Malaysia which these people find a threat. He would not even be accepted in DAP and PAS as they are now towkay and tuan enjoying the fruits of power waiting to take over as the new elite in Putrajaya.
Remember how Hindraf was rejected and dumped by Anwar, Lim Guan Eng and Lim Kit Siang after they spoke for the poor of Kg Buah Pala. That ghost will haunt DAP and Pakatan forever. Zaid's team is better off leaving to form the third force.
GH Kok: Relax, my friends, relax. It's party elections. Every candidate wants to be heard. That's called a democracy. It's a bit messy, yes. But it's transparent and it's open, and this election in particular is more open and gives more people the right to vote than any other party election in the history of Malaysia. It's a cause for celebration. When it's over in November, everything will return to normal and the party will be stronger.
Albert: Frankly, I am utterly disgusted with what is happening in PKR. And we have so much hope and expectation that PKR (read Anwar) would lead Pakatan to be a viable alternative to the Umno-led government. If PKR leaders are unable to settle their own differences effectively and efficiently, how are they going to effectively resolve the more serious and contentious issues of differences among the various races in the country?
These differences among the races, a legacy of the Umno-led government, is currently being repeatedly reinforced by Perkasa (supported by Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Utusan Malaysia and the other authorities).
Do we honesty think that PKR leaders can also concentrate and focus their energy to face the challenges facing the country in the changing global landscape if and when they form the next government? With their increasing internal squabbles coupled with the problem of the katak , I seriously doubt so.
Anak Bangsa Malaysia: What has happened to PKR? I thought the leaders in PKR are fighters for justice, freedom and true democracy. Let there be true voices of people speaking up freely as long as there is no bickering with intentions to bring the other down. If individuals are more important than the party, then PKR is the same as Umno/BN.
Let freedom prevail in this country. So PKR, show the way to truly champion the cause for the people and that you want to serve the people of Malaysia by winning the next general election.
Anwar on global tour to highlight sodomy case
Anonymous: This sodomy trial has damaged Malaysia's image badly. Now I see the BN using our EPF money to push up our stock exchange's composite index to unrealistic levels just to make it look good. Stock exchanges worldwide recorded a drop of about 40% from their highs but Malaysia's KLCI almost hit the all-time high registered a few years ago.
I found out that EPF has been actively buying and selling shares on most KLCI-linked counters like nobody's business. In other words, our KLCI is artificially inflated.
Dingy: In the 1999 general election, when Anwar was put in jail for sodomy, it was the Chinese that saved BN. If Anwar goes to jail for Sodomy II, the Chinese will not be there to save BN. The Sibu and Hulu Selangor elections show that they have abandoned BN. NGOs and Pakatan supporters are all out to register new voters to make sure Pakatan's march to Putrajaya become a reality.
Perkasa is doing a good job in making the rakyat to hate Umno. How long can Najib last fighting external threats from Pakatan and internal one from his own deputy who, by the way, has Perkasa's and Mahathir's support.
Kgen: Some claim Anwar was caught with his pants down. Then why is there no creditable evidence against him except the word of his accuser and some dubious DNA ‘evidence'? The MCA guy was caught with his pants down and recorded on video engaging in oral sex, which is an offence under the same Act but he was not even charged.
Why the double standard?
