PKR youth today reiterated their challenge to their Umno counterparts for a debate over Pakatan's proposed 100-day plan dubbed the ‘Orange Book' .

"As of now our letter to them remains unanswered. If they do not answer, we can only assume no one in Umno dares to debate with us over this matter.

NONE We delivered a formal letter and we expect them to reply to us formally, not on Twitter ," said its chief Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin ( right ) today.

Asked about the party's decision to send Director of Strategy Rafizi Ramli to debate with Umno Youth Chief Khairy Jamaluddin in response to a challenge by Khairy to debate with PKR defacto leader Anwar Ibrahim, Shamsul said:

"We respect the party's decision to send Rafizi Ramli to debate with Khairy, but this is an affair between youth wing and youth wing.

"We sent our letter one day before Umno sent in their challenge. So they should answer us first. Then we can decide who's going to debate who."

He added that the issue of debate with Umno Youth is not a matter for personal glory. It is instead about the all important issue of defending Pakatan's ‘Orange Book'.

Shamsul's deputy Khairul Anuar Ahmad Zainuddin who also at the press conference interjected, saying that Rafizi need not be the only choice.

"Rafizi is not the only one capable of facing Khairy, In PKR Youth there are others who are able of doing so," he said.
