Prosecution builds case against 'Male Y'

Kgen:

What does it matter that the seals were intact? The police who took the samples, the government doctors, the Chemistry Department, they have all been compromised by Umno.

The prosecution refuses to hand over samples to the defence for independent testing, so what is the value of this so-called DNA evidence? It's just Umno's word against Anwar Ibrahim's.

Ashoka:

What has the hair, bottle and towel to do with this case as evidence, unless they were found inside Saiful Bukhari Azlan?

Orang Gila Malaya: The police specifically in this case are all jokers. For Anwar's sodomy case, they looked everywhere for that strand of hair. They have a few places to conduct a search.

But in Teoh Beng Hock's case, the police ignored the evidence in front of them. For TBH's case, the area to be covered was relatively small compared with Anwar's case. They will pick up everything for the prosecution and leave almost nothing for the defence. I find this a bit weird.

3f5f: How do we know whether where "the ‘bulu" is taken from? It could have been taken from Anwar when he was in prison. So this case is a sure goner for Anwar. The only thing Anwar can do is to follow the "footsteps" of Najib Abdul Razak and Saiful Bukhari by swearing in a mosque that the accusations are false, and force the prosecution to drop its case.

Abil: So we have two strands of hair, a mineral water bottle and toothbrush and viola ! we have a "Male Y" DNA and it should match Anwar's. Right? It's a joke that this will mysteriously match the DNA on Saiful's underwear. So many murder cases are not being solved, especially that of Altantuya Shaariibuu, and we have a case of this ‘passive homosexual' being highlighted.

Ferdtan:

Sankara Nair raised objection as Nor Aidora Saedon tried to look at her report on what she received on July 17, 2008. This is last minute reading, not dissimilar to the kind students about to go into examination halls do.

Honestly, all the facts should be in her head as she should be recalling her past actions... unless she had been told to memorise something that was not what she did: that part is definitely harder to remember.

John Ho: Another new joker in the dock.

KitaAkanSiasat: "She could not find DNA from the two strands of hair but successfully retrieved DNA from the bottle, towel and toothbrush."

What utter rubbish! How can one not be able to retrieve DNA from strands of hair? Hair, just like any other living part of our body has DNA in it. And she calls herself the head of the Chemistry Department's DNA paternity unit?

How could she prove that the bottle recovered was from the scene? The bottle evidence could have easily been planted by just stealing a bottle Anwar had used before. Preposterous! Read this :

Alan Goh: Seah was asked if the wrong date stated affects the integrity of the sample. She replied, no, because the seal was intact.

Didn't defence counsel Sankara Nair prove that the seal could be removed and if the date is stated wrongly, that means it happened at another time and another fellow's DNA was tested? Is this is how the Chemistry Department obtained the ISO in Malaysia?

There's no need to keep the name of the "Male Y" in suspense. Everybody knows who he is.

Altantoya: Seah, nak kata you bodoh, tak boleh, kerana you memang berpelajaran . Tapi, when you say dates are not important, then how to address you? In any criminal case, date and time are of prime importance. Dia orang tak ajar you, ka ?

Sandakan : This incident reminds me of what I was told when I was studying statistics in the university. We had beautiful tables and graphs on the causes of death in Malaysia. But the lecturer reminded us that most of the causes of death in Malaysia at that time were recorded by the village headmen and the police sergeant in the kampung. These people have no medical knowledge at all.

In other words, the beautiful graphs were all rubbish when the source is suspect - just as in this case, where the samples are not collected properly.

'Male Y' DNA found on towel, bottle and toothbrush

On Your Toes: Before the advent of DNA, may I know how experts went about proving cases of this nature? Why for Teoh Beng Hock's case there was no DNA here and there at the crime scene?

Simon Lee 3ed5: Just as expected, the end justifies the means. This same old brainless script and drama to stop Anwar, at all costs, is so predictable! Clap, clap, clap - this "Academy Award" winning performance by the persecutors is slowly but surely reaching its finale and climax to a filthy ending.

Very soon the whole MSM, including all print and electronic media, are expected to go to the streets screaming with the headlines: Anwar's DNA found in the forbidden tunnel! or Male Y DNA is confirmed as Anwar's! The rakyat and the world are just disgusted and immune to all this overdose of evil conspiracy to tar him and stop Pakatan's efforts to reach Putrajaya in the coming election.

Certainly, there will be an avalanche of global protest against this desperate and most revolting verdict, if they are so stupid to invite such condemnation, despite overwhelming evidence against the charges. Any sane and righteous man with any iota of dignity will not want to be part of this most haram and evil act.

Indian Ji Can't they find a really an expert DNA specialist? How come they are still not able to identify the person? We only know about 20 percent of the DNA details... where is the rest of 80 percent? What else they can find from the DNA?

I am sure there must be more details they can drill deep. But these so-called experts, in my opinion, are not that good. Seah never followed the guidelines and another specialist just revealed one detail, that the DNA belonged to which race. What other information can we know? Really useless...

Chen Beng Kong: DNA samples can be planted into Saiful's anus with his own semen. Isn't there a way to check the age of the DNA?

TKC: An elementary question: Good Morning towels are most likely found in: (a) a high class condominium (where the alleged incident took place), (b) a prison cell at Sungei Buloh or (c) a seedy back alley room in Chow Kit?
