Khir Toyo: Gang of 3 ministers want me jailed

Tailek: Former Selangor menteri besar Dr Mohd Khir Toyo, as far as the rakyat of Selangor are concerned, we don't really give a damn which BN ministers are conspiring to put you in jail in order to win back Selangor.

Please don't flatter yourself and think you are so important. Now that you are no longer in government, you are nothing - no more and no less than the ordinary man in the street. No matter what happens to you, BN will not win back Selangor.

But you do deserve to go to jail for all the corruption and scandals you were involved in while you were Selangor MB, and please do not be naive and pin all your hopes on the integrity of the judiciary.

Bluemountains: The main issue here is whether you are guilty of corruption or not. The rakyat is not interested in your Umno conspiracy. If you have cheated, the jail is where you should belong.

Disbeliever: In this holy month of Ramadan, you dare open your mouth to say three federal ministers are out to get you?

In fact, Ramadan is when you should feel 'insaf' (remorse) and admit guilt because the people know and Allah knows too that you bought the land at a ridiculous price, which means there was corruption and it is against Islam.

SusahKes: "Are they powerful enough to control a judge? I don't believe they can direct a judge nor will a judge listen to this group," said Khir Toyo.

Khir, it's quite obvious you were sleeping when Anwar Ibrahim - then deputy prime minister - was given hell by Umno and the courts in 1999.

My suggestion - unless you've got the necessary judo techniques to deal with Umno (and very few do) - you better renew your dentist's licence and permit after you come out of jail.

That, or you would have to sell off your ‘mahligai' (palace) for your three square meals.

AkuMelayu: Dato' Seri, if you truly believe in the integrity of the judiciary, you have nothing to worry. Don't be suspicious of any conspiracy. Prove your innocence in the court of law and the people of Selangor will not ditch you.

The BN government and Umno is not into the business of sacrificing their innocent leaders in their attempt for victory. To them, anybody who is found guilty had to be punished regardless of their position. If Anwar can be charged, why can't you?

Gandhi: Khir Toyo is a classic example how a person who abuses his power will eventually face punishment. There are countless people who are going to suffer the same fate as you. Former MCA chief Ling Liong Sik is one.

It's only a matter of time for all those who abused their position and cheated the rakyat will meet their fate, sooner or later. One has to look at the volatile and explosive scenario in the Middle East to learn that abusers of the rakyat will end up miserably.

Libya's Muammar Gaddafi is already on the run.

Tkc: For once, I agree with these three Umno ministers, whoever they are. Khir belongs in jail because there is absolutely no way he could afford his palace based on his menteri besar remuneration.

Diablo63: Conspiracy Theory # 1 - Khir Toyo is relaying a hidden message to those in power, ‘come get me and I will tell all about you guys too'. I guess this is his last ditch effort to save himself.

Guan Eng not 100% sure about retaining Penang

Geronimo: If Penang is continued to be governed by DAP, I am sure Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng will see to it that the Malays will walk tall amongst the other races in the state. This is very important as confidence in oneself can in itself provide positive contributions.

As a Chinese Malaysian, I am happy to what Guan Eng is doing for the Malays. There will come a day when Malays from the other states will find it hard to walk in the shoes of the Penang Malays.

Confused: Guan Eng, please walk the talk. If you can't sort the urban poor problems in Penang, you can't even be 50 percent sure of retaining Penang.

BN is capitalising on these issues, housing especially. Just make sure that Pakatan Rakyat is not caught with its pants down with all its promises.

1M: With the Election Commission working as Umno's agent, and the racial sentiments raised by other agents such as Perkasa and Utusan Malaysia , Guan Eng has every reason to be cautious.

I pray that justice will prevail, and the right person be put in place to run the state for the better of all people, regardless of race and religion.

Malaysianearthquake: It is better to be humble than arrogant. The CM has rightly expressed his feelings and caution.

In the run-up to the 2008 election, Gerakan leaders and advisers expressed their arrogance by saying that a lot of people attended opposition rallies but when it came to voting, they would all still vote Gerakan for stability and out of fear.

So Pakatan, just continue to do good for the people.

Kgen: It is better not to be over confident. This was what caused Gerakan's downfall in Penang. Furthermore, the EC is inserting tens of thousands of dubious voters into Penang to help BN cheat their way to victory.
