The Kedah Ex-Policemen's Association (PBPNK) today urged the government to strip off the citizenship of PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu following his statement that allegedly hero-worshipped communist terrorists and discredited the nation's security forces.

pengukir nama johor mat sabu pas pc 060911 Its chairman Sharif Kontan said the statement by Mohamad Sabu, better known as Mat Sabu, was not only rude but also hurt the feelings of more than 5,000 PBPNK members.

"The statement made by Mat Sabu hurt Malaysians from all races, particularly members of the security forces who had fought against the communist insurgency," he said after making a police report at the Kulim district police headquarters yesterday.

The Kulim branch of Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia (Perkasa), which made a police report against Mat Sabu on Monday, said Mat Sabu's statement was aimed at inciting anti-government feelings.

"His statement was very dangerous to the security of the country and the authorities must penalise Mohamad Sabu severely, including detaining him under the Internal Security Act (ISA)," said its chairman Hamid Othman.
