'Two men have been sentenced to death and there is no written judgment after two years. What sort of justice is this?'
Karpal frustrated over delayed Altantuya suit
Abasir: No written judgement for two years is exactly in keeping with PM Najib Razak's "performance now" slogan.
The KPI (key performance indicators) which this judge has obviously achieved is "frustrating those seeking justice for Altantuya".
In this country, there are two types of incompetence. Type 1 is ‘natural incompetence' resulting from inborn mental inabilities/disabilities.
Type 2 is ‘guided incompetence'. This is manifest when the powers-that-be 'instruct' someone to 'go slow', lose a file or a record, ignore a procedure, take leave, fall ill, simply forget or unlike Nike... just don't do it.
We see instances of both very frequently.
Jesse: Two men have been sentenced to death and there is no written judgment after two years. What sort of justice is this? These guys could be rotting in prison for eternity pending appeal.
Shouldn't the attorney-general, being the public prosecutor, be complaining about it as he has to defend the appeal?
DNA: Former chief justice Zaki Azmi ought to be ashamed of himself for he never reprimanded the judge over the delay in writing out the judgment.
Who Is That Masked Man?: With this kind of judiciary, what justice can Malaysians have? Former CJ Zaki talked like he was a hero when he actually closed one eye on "sensitive" cases such as this.
Judges here can do what they like. I was involved in a court case a few years ago and the judge was so stupid that I felt so ashamed of what our lovely country has become.
If you find out how magistrates and judges are appointed, your jaw will drop. And then you will migrate to a more civilised country.
Only a change of government can clean up the civil service and the judiciary. Or Malaysia will remain the laughing stock of Asia for generations to come.
Wira: What if the judgment is delayed for six years and beyond the statutory limit for a civil action? Will the case be thrown out because of judicial incompetency?
75 percent of soldiers suffering, claims Kerabat
Anonymous_3da0: Umno is ripping off the servicemen left, right and centre. Has any of them gotten to smell the RM500 million commission for the Scorpene submarines? It is time to put a stop to being taken for a ride by Umno and BN.
Just Me : It is sad to see that our soldiers are underpaid whereas our defence budget is well above the roof. What is the use of high-tech equipment if we have a demoralised force?
Our soldiers are not even equipped with bullet-proof vests and our surface vessels are not enough to even prevent piracy, but yet we can spend billions to go under the sea.
Anak Sabah1: Malaysia's ex-servicemen should wake up and stop voting for Umno as they have given the best years of their lives to protect them whilst Umno's leaders have ransacked the nation's wealth for themselves.
Ramachandran Muniandy: A very sad story indeed, to hear our soldiers suffering after having bravely served the nation.
What happened to Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) which had oil palm plantations throughout Malaysia and Indonesia?
Labisman: Being an ex-servicemen myself, the Armed Forces personnel, both active and retired, are in the same category as the Sabahans and Sarawakians - Umno's fixed deposit.
Clean&Clear: My dad left the service in 1977 with a pension of RM320. He brought the family of five up with that small sum and doing other jobs.
After 34 years, his pension climbed up to only RM1,030. Dad died two months ago. Luckily he gave his children good education and a good life - now we are all living comfortably because of him.
But not all ex-servicemen's families are lucky like us, this country has got zero welfare for heroes who had sacrificed their lives for the country.
Nazri: ISA repeal delay to avoid security 'gap'
Armageddon: Does de facto Law Minister Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz know the meaning of the word ‘repeal'?
Repeal means to end it. If the ISA law is discontinued, it only make sense to release those detainees. Are we replacing ISA with ‘Nazri's Law'?
Jesse: If you have no evidence against these "terrorists", then release them. Otherwise, charge them.
You have violating their basic rights. What are you worried about? After all, you have the Attorney-General's Chambers, the police and judiciary in your pocket or are they meant only for opposition politicians?
Budak: Nazri is telling us that the PM is useless and never consulted him on the matter beforehand. So who shall we listen to now?
Righteous: This is proof that it is only the words ‘ISA' that are being replaced; everything BN says means something else.
