Quigonbond : PM, they are kissing your hands because they are so desperate that giving them less than crumbs would move them to tears. Why did they become so desperate in the first place? It's BN's failed governance for the past 53 years, feeding corruption, cronyism and promoting naked abuse of power, now culminating in unprecedented debt to fund more misguided policy priorities.

Borrowing money to bribe for votes and leaving the problems to the next few generations is nothing to be proud of. Not when it takes us closer to Greece, Italy or Spain.

I'd take my chances with Pakatan Rakyat any time. Buku Jingga speaks of baseline wages and equitable distribution of resources, matched by the cutting down of operational expenditure, open tenders and genuine war against corruption, thereby increasing productivity and competitiveness - the kind of balanced approach that we sorely need as the global economy heads towards the brink.

Isana : Usually, we hold on a bit longer when we are saying goodbyes or farewell and these wise people of Ijok know you'll be gone after GE13.

Two percent for pensioners is pittance. Not that the pensioners are ungrateful, but let us work out the extra that a pensioner gets if he draws a pension of RM500 a month. The two percent works out to a meagre RM10. What can this RM10 do for the poor pensioner?

Even the government tax is six percent, and should the GST be implemented, this would mean that the pensioner would have to pay for almost everything. If the government is caring, it should work out a system where those aged 60 and above who draw a pension of less than RM1,000 should be exempted from government taxes.

Onyourtoes: Democracy and rule of law. How eloquently you put it, Najib. PM, how was your trip to Selangor paid for? I am sure you are not doing government work there. If so, what specific government work did you do? Why should the government pay for your party work and campaign work?

By the way, you are paid a salary. How many hours do you work for the government of Malaysia today? Umno and BN do not pay you salary, do they? This is your democracy, this is your rule of law and this is your fairness and justice. Frankly, I don't think you know what these are.

SMC77: A true leader will cry when he or she sees so many pensioners or elderly folk who cannot have a warm meal, or starve because they can afford the food. Najib should go home and think about why, after 54 years, BN still cannot make sure these folk can have a decent retirement life.

My pensioner dad said BN and Najib can keep the two percent. My dad does not want to see Najib and hold his hands either. Noh Omar can also dream on to be become the next Selangor MB.

I dare Najib to take the Metro bus on a Monday morning to MidValley. Sit among the rakyat and see if the occupants will hold his hands and not let go.

Just a meagre two percent cash thrown at them and "they couldn't let go of my hand?!" Or perhaps what this politician Najib is trying to say is: "The marginalised and hungry poor, they have been eating off my palms and the hands of Umno politicians the last five decades."

That is most humiliating, the ultimate insult to the good Malays and the rakyat! As usual, for the last 54 years, this supremacists must have thought and calculated that the minds of the poor and humble kampung Malays are still enslaved by Umno.

So gullible, desperate, cheap, easily and blindly sell their votes, support a corrupt regime and destroy the future of the nation for just two percent increment after 54 years of neglect?

The poor Malays, with the exception of Umnoputras, have more dignity and self-respect than to allow a corrupt regime to continue to manipulate, corrupt and enslave the minds of the poor Malays. The new government must help the poor Malays from Umno for their overall progress.

David Dass: Najib said, ‘We will make sure that no one will be held under suspicion, but without proof that a crime has been committed'?

The only way to ensure that no one is detained on suspicion without evidence of guilt is through an open trial. There may be circumstances where the accused must be held pending the gathering of evidence.

In such case, he can be held on remand - the period of remand should be restricted to a maximum period of, say, two weeks. The remand order must be made by a magistrate within 24 hours of detention and the detainee must be allowed to see his family and his lawyer immediately upon being detained. This will ensure there is no abuse.

The PM is 'scared' of losing more votes in the next election, so he is so 'generous' in this Budget 2012. If BN wins more than two-thirds majority in the coming general election, will there be goodies in the next budget?

By Election Fan: My eyes were also filled with tears listening to the Budget 2012 last Friday. You have been treating our beloved nation like a credit card. I cried for the future generations, with you giving pay rise to the 1.2 million civil servants that is going to burden the nation for generations and generations.

Since you are so confident, please announce the date for GE now, because every single day BN/Umno is in power, the deeper we get in trouble.

Mohd: Mr Cool PM, I was also not able to stop crying when you announced the budget. I cried because I know there will be people who will be easily swayed by your "doom" budget. I cried because I have to work harder to pay for the ballooning debts of our country. I cried because my children must continue to pay for these debts.
