Alleged molest case: What's there to investigate?

VOXPOP 'There is no victim. The witnesses have all said there was no such event. Ask the police to investigate a non-crime?'

'DPM implicitly supporting defamation of minor'

vox populi small thumbnail Durian: The general election is near. BN, and I mean Umno, has devised a hit-and-run strategy of raising unsubstantiated racial, religious, royalty, communist and defamation issues.

This will be fuelled by the media and the BN cronies and created into daily talking points and made possible by the lawlessness in this country whereby anybody friendly to BN can do anything without facing accepted legal and police controls.

You can refute and deny, but the fact that the rakyat is talking about these issues is good enough to prevent them from thinking about the economy, education, corruption, wealth plundering, etc.

MatrixLYN: What is there to investigate? There is no victim. The witnesses (the alleged victim and the school principal) have all said there was no such event. Ask the police to investigate a non-crime?

If I write in a blog saying that Muhiyiddin Yassin is an ape in a human suit, should the deputy prime minister report to the police and ask them to investigate him in order to ‘clear his name'?

DannyLoHH: Utusan Malaysia has truly sunk to the bottom of the pit. I believe there's no newspaper in the world that has gone lower than Utusan .

Not only it has lost all credibility with it fictitious reporting and propaganda spouting, it has gone incoherent.

On one hand, it say "a denial is insufficient to clean Lim's family name", essentially insinuating that the family is guilty, then reiterated "that Lim and his son should not be portrayed as guilty until proven otherwise". How is that going to jive?

What Utusan did is essentially portraying that the family is guilty as charged and that LGE (Lim Guan Eng) must prove his family's innocent by asking the police to run a thorough investigation, yet, it has the cheek to say that the Lim and his son should not be portrayed as guilty until proven otherwise.

Isn't this as good as saying, ‘Do what Utusan said, but not what Utusan did?' What a hypocrite!

My THOR: Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua must be naive to request PM Najib Razak to reprimand Muhyiddin or any of the Umno cronies as they are heavily protected and licenced to attack at all cost the Pakatan Rakyat camp.

Scandal after scandal, sex after sex and sodomy after sodomy and the attacks are never ending. That's the Umno show. Umno, what's ‘akan datang'(coming up)?

Lim Chong Leong: Denial not enough? Najib also just deny knowing Altantuya Shaariibuu but refused to come to court. He also just deny there is conspiracy to frame Anwar Ibrahim in Sodomy 2 but refused to come to court.

These denials were sufficient for them but LGE's denial suddenly is not enough? And these attacks are not against LGE but on his helpless son who is still a minor. Umno has stooped to ever so low.

1Malaysia Menu: 'Najib was testing food quality'

Dood: Isn't it dishonest and misleading to show the cost of the meal as only RM3 when in reality it costs RM6?

Sure, PM Najib Razak may have been ‘testing food quality' - there's nothing wrong with that, but it is surely not right to then portray that the meal was cheap.

If any normal eatery had done the same in an advertisement, they would have been taken to task for misleading the public. In any case, RM6 for a meal is hardly considered cheap.

Bender: A friend told me that Batu MP Tian Chua is always trying to find fault with everything BN/Umno/Najib does, and in this case, such a small difference in price is hardly newsworthy. But it is.

For so many people out there, what happened to Tian Chua is exactly the kind of reality that the rakyat faces everyday - while Najib says it's cheap, the rakyat don't really feel that way.

Mob1900: "However, Ismail did not explain why Najib had only paid RM3." Enough said.

The 1Malaysia menu was suppose to address the already expensive cost of food and yet 1Malaysia PM paid only RM3 and the rest of us pay RM6, so what is the purpose of the these 1Malaysia shenanigans?

And how much of taxpayers' money have been used to shored these 1Malaysia programmes?

Malaysians Are Not Stupid: I don't know who the PM is trying to fool. We all know there are always a minimum cost that any viable and sustainable business needs to bear.

All these simplistic ways to help the rakyat overcome rising costs are not sustainable in the long run. There are basic costs of food, rental, labour and utilities, to name a few.

By selling food at below or near the cost, how can a business be sustainable? Profit is the motivation of all business. Without profit or adequate return to investment, how can a business have the motivation to continue?

I am sure this 1Malaysia menu would not last and is just another pre-election gimmick to trick the people. I am also sure the provider of this 1Malaysia menu is paid in other ways.

The question is - who is paying for it? The rakyat?

Wira: It clearly means only Najib and his entourage can purchase a 1Malaysia meal with RM3. All others must pay double.
