your say Alan Goh: Honestly speaking, with all the abuses and corruption happening around the country as pointed out by the auditor-general, I don't know where the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) should start.

Perhaps that was the reason the alleged wrongdoing by the late Teoh Beng Hock amounting to RM2,400 was an easy starting point.

At the rate the taxpayers money are gushing down the drain, it is no wonder that subsidies are being cut here, there and everywhere.

Wake up Malaysians, and do the right thing this 13 th GE. Otherwise, ‘padam muka sendiri' for another five years.

Parents should just collect all the torn mattresses and send them to the State Education Department and demand accountability and immediate reparation.

If a landslide were to befall any of these schools identified with weak retaining walls yet to be repaired because funds are siphoned off, God forbid, who will answer for the lives lost?

It seems to be that lives, like virtue, honesty and integrity, is cheap in Malaysia.

Lynn: A small percentage of rakyat is breaking our backs paying our precious salaries in taxes so that some connected idiots can enjoy our money, without even the decency of meeting their easy half of the bargain, such as delivering goods which can be easily sourced anywhere.

Hope: When I hear this, it saddens me that the BN government does not try harder, especially when they allocate funds. I think the accountability factor is missing, and for this, we have to go all the way from top to bottom.

Killing corruption alone cannot stop this kind of attitude, but we have to instill accountability. Not that I believe in a heartbeat that the DAP/PAS/PKR can do remotely better.

Kelantan is typical, and Kedah, astounding. These places are left behind so far, they will never catch up if they do not do something soon.

The people in Kedah are great, but they lack government assistance, and now with the PAS government there, they are doomed.

Anonymous: Government contracts are golden opportunities for profiteering and providing sub-standard materials and shoddy workmanship. This has been going on for more than a generation. You think BN cares about the rakyat?

Fairnessforall: Haul up all those responsible for approving and releasing the funds for work not done. Confiscate all their property to recover the amount.

These corrupted officials should not be allowed to get away with it. There is no point of reporting all these if no action is going to be taken against the person responsible.

It is not surprising that they all have class A PKK (Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor) licence. The whole management of contracts by the government is a cesspool of filth.

Millions of taxpayers money goes into the pockets of these political cronies. There is no transparency in the selection of contractors.

Jimmy Ng: Just a few days ago, I learnt what NRW stood for (non-revenue water - for leaked water from faulty pipes and therefore could not bring in any revenue or income for the water supply concessionaires like Syabas).

Now we have NWR - no work revenue. No need to work, also can get income.

SKS: I made a mistake when I graduated 10 years back of not joining MIC, Gerakan or PPP (yes, you guessed right, I am Indian).

I would have been raking in money by painting doors for RM20,000 a piece. They should have taught me this at the university.

Apart from media commission of 15 percent which most agencies forgo now for a fee, if properly negotiated there are also bonus spots or insertions.

Probably Tourism Minister Ng Yen Yen knows this, but I bet it doesn't show in her contract. She is so crude and thinks the public is as stupid as her bosses in Umno.

Righteous: In Malaysia, politics is business. You get rich and get out, unless you are not that smart, and need to be kicked out. S Samy Vellu is a prime example. We have mixed up politics with business, religion and the royalty.

Woo Choon Kit: The audit report said that going through a tender process, the same jobs would have only cost the Tourism Ministry RM75.38 million rather than the RM194.31 million spent over two years.

Where did the difference of around RM120 million go?
