Noh denies involvement in hudud video
Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Noh Omar said the opposition's action of linking him to the production of a video clip that insulted hudud law was evil, to destroy his credibility as a leader in Selangor.
Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Noh Omar said the opposition's action of linking him to the production of a video clip that insulted hudud law was evil, to destroy his credibility as a leader in Selangor.
Noh, who is also an Umno supreme council member, said the wild accusation was a conspiracy by the opposition to link him to sensitive issues.
“They (opposition) have no more issues, so they resort to making personal attacks against (Barisan Nasional) leaders, especially me in Selangor, to tarnish my credibility so that the people will lose trust in my leadership.”
Noh said this to reporters after closing the National Unity Convention organised by the National Professors Council in Kuala Lumpur today.
He was asked to comment on an opposition media report yesterday which alleged that the ‘Sembang Rakyat’ video producer which showed the insulting clip was the same person operating the Tanjung Karang Member of Parliament blogsite, and Selangor Puteri Umno and Tanjung Karang Umno websites, besides the ‘Pena Noh’ blog.
Noh said he had never instructed anyone to produce or show such a video clip.
“The opposition in Selangor is worried about me. Before this, they blamed me for the padi incentive issue and now this (hudud video). I was shocked as I was not at all involved,” he added.
