PKR-linked NGO Jingga 13 today challenged embattled cabinet minister Shahrizat Jalil and her family, who own the controversial National Feedlot Corporation (NFC), to declare their assets from 2008 to 2011.

pkr congress 271110 fariz musa In a statement, sent after lodging yet another report against Shahrizat and her family with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, Jingga 13 coordinator Fariz Musa ( left ) said the asset declaration was to prove that they do not own any luxury properties in Singapore.

“Jingga 13 (also) challenges Shahrizat to explain how her family could afford the massive loan repayments (for the units), of an estimated RM137,000 a month for an ordinary home loan (period) of 25 years,” he said.

This follows an expose by PKR that Shahrizat’s husband Mohd Salleh Ismail and son Wan Shahinur Izran own two luxury units at the Marina Bay Sands Condominium worth more than RM34.5 million.

NONE While the party cannot show proof that the purchase was funded by the RM250 million government soft loan provided for the feedlot project, PRK said the family could have used it to convince banks to extend them loans for the properties.

PKR had previously exposed that Shahrizat’s husband and children own a luxury condominium at the Orchard Scotts in Singapore worth about RM10 million.

Responding to Malaysiakini on Twitter, Izran, 27, who is NFC executive director said: “This issue has already been discussed. We have declared everything to the authorities.”

Mohd Salleh is chairperson of NFC while his eldest son Izmir, 31, is the CEO and daughter Izzana, director in charge of marketing.
