PAS asks Hasan Ali: Who's funding you?
PAS Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad today urged former Selangor PAS commissioner Hasan Ali to answer whether his newly-founded NGO Jalur Tiga (Jati) is being funded by Puncak Niaga Holdings Bhd and Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas).
PAS Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad today urged former Selangor PAS commissioner Hasan Ali to come clean on whether major companies are funding his newly-founded group Jalur Tiga (Jati).
"I'm not making an accusation. I am just giving them a chance to explain or to deny (if it is untrue)," Khalid told a press conference in Shah Alam today, together with PAS Hulu Langat MP Che Rosli Che Mat.
Khalid ( left ), Hasan’s long-time arch rival, drew the inference from the fact that certain companies would gain significant financial benefit should BN recapture Selangor.
Hasan recently formed his pressure group Jati with the objectives of upholding Islam, Malays and the royal institution, which he dubbed 'IMR'.
According to the Selangor PAS deputy commissioner, the rental for the venue Hasan used to launch Jati on Tuesday, the state-owned Shah Alam Convention Centre, is at least RM30,000.
"This does not include other expenses, such as gimmicks for the launching, and his nationwide roadshows.
"Maybe Hasan mortgaged his house and car for his political struggles. We don't know, but this (identity of the funders) is what is being discussed by the people in coffee shops," Khalid said.
