RM400,000 for daughter's party, RM500 for BR1M

YOURSAY 'Even though they know that the public is already fed up with their excesses, they still carry on and don't give a hoot.'

'PMO paid for engagement do of Najib's daughter'

your say MPA: If this is true, then I have this to say: Dear fellow Malaysians, it looks like all of us had been taken for a ride by our beloved and caring PM.

He is going round the whole country giving RM500 BR1M to needy households (monthly income of below RM3,000) to feed the whole family for the year.

At the same time, he is feeding his in-laws, relatives and selected friends (those earning above RM3,000) with a dinner costing RM500 for a single meal.

Sarawakian_3ff9: It's just unbelievable, the greed and the abuse perpetuated by our leaders. Even though they know that the public is already fed up with their excesses, they still carry on and don't give a hoot.

And it's not just RM409,767. That's a lot of money had it been used to help the poor. Just how thick-skinned can they be?

Gerard Samuel Vijayan: Unless the engagement was a state or national occasion, why is the government paying for it?

The PM ought to reimburse the Treasury for this payment, if the allegation is true. The Umno leadership must be made to understand that the public purse is not their private property to be used as they deem fit as if they are feudal rulers and the rakyat their servants.

Swipenter: Najib and Rosmah Mansor, you cannot treat the national coffer like your personal bank account.

A simple but highly important rule you can't even understand and keep and you want us to place our trust in you running the country.

In the private sector, it is called by another name - criminal breach of trust. Ask your banker brother Nazir, he can explain to you in detail why this simple rule cannot never be breached and tolerated.

Any one of his employees, if found guilty of CBT, would be sacked immediately and sent to jail.

Is it any wonder the directors of NFC (National Feedlot Corporation) are found treating the government soft loan of RM250 million as if it was their personal monies. The rot starts from the head.

Anonymous_3ef1: How can you lead this nation when you and your family are helping to dip your hands into the rakyat's hard-earned money.

You have gone too far, the rakyat is working its butts out to make ends meet and here you've the hide to swindle us.

Pity Him: It's hardly surprising if it is true. They own the country. Tell me who controls Petronas, tell me how its money has the been used.

They have the cheek to say the government is for the people. They will have the time to fly kites soon.

PM's office denies paying for Nooryana's party

Lim Chong Leong: Don't just deny. Please explain the bill from Shangri La Hotel and why PM's Office was used to place an order for the banquet. Auditor-general, please investigate.

Anomnim: It seems everyone from the one particular party always answer an allegation with mere denials.

Come on, show us proof that you are innocent. Other people have already given clear evidence that you are guilty.

NFC boss laundering loan through S'pore, claims MP

Malaysia ABU: I am really sick of all of these. Bersih 2.0 and Himpunan Hijau 2.0 are not enough, the rakyat seriously need Hartal 2.0 - to stop paying taxes to feed this corrupt government with our hard-earned income.

AnesthMO: A taxpayers' boycott will not make a big impact. Why? Because too few people pay taxes.

Malaysia has a population of 26 million. Out of 26 million, 12 million are in the working/productive part of the population. Out of the 12 million, only two million are qualified to pay taxes (those with monthly income above RM2,500).

Effectively, only 7 percent of the population are paying taxes. That is why there is not much outrage over the abuse of taxpayers' monies. If more people pay taxes, surely the current government will face more anger.

Anonymous_3f4a: Yes, why no investigations have been instituted against the culprits of PKFZ (Port Klang Free Zone) and NFC cases under the Anti-Money Laundering Act?

Surely, ill-gotten wealth from these cases have found their way to overseas and yet BNM (Bank Negara Malaysia) has remained relatively muted.

James1067: The fact is that our enemies are not from outside but deep within. These enemies are hacking away at the foundations of the country, the judiciary, the relationship among our brothers and sisters, and now our finances.

In no time, they will transfer whatever balance remains in our Treasury, sell their assets - it has already started with our tycoons - and send their illegal funds overseas, leaving the poor Malaysians in debt.

Our external enemies will then walk in to dictate their terms without a shot being fired.

2cts Worth: NFC bosses, why don't you give yourselves up? This is getting very embarrassing.

Go get some handcuffs and handcuff yourselves and go to the nearest police station. It will be my pleasure to drive you there.
