The name of the game is 'calling NFC's bluff'
YOURSAY ‘Let them file their suits because it will give a great opportunity for the lawyers to probe into the NFC scam.'
NFC to sue bank, Rafizi over KL Eco City expose
Anomnim:
Is National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) executive chairperson Mohamad Salleh Ismail for real?
PKR director of strategy Rafizi Ramli is neither a bank nor a financial institution so therefore how could he violate the Banking and Financial Institutions Act (Bafia) 1989?
Besides, one can only violate provisions and laws if the said facts are untrue.
Kairos: The name of the game is called 'calling your bluff '. Let NFC file their suits in the court because it will give a great opportunity for the lawyers to probe and dig deeper into the hidden secrets of the NFC scam.
It will also be publicised and flashed across all the media during the duration of the trial.
Practically, should the plaintiffs need funds for the defence, please start a fund for it. I am very sure a lot of Malaysians will gladly contribute towards it.
Let justice prevail at all costs and there will be no let-up until the total truth is uncovered.
Dont Just Talk: Sometimes I wonder where these fellas got their Phd when they fail to understand what Bafia is about.
Some ‘bersih' anonymous bankers who cannot tolerate the abuse of the rakyat's money to the tune of RM250 million given to this NFC company, mailed the loan documents to PKR to expose NFC fraud.
Salleh should be grateful to the ‘Deep Throat' for exposing the fraud but chose to report the matter to the police. What is there for the police investigate on an anonymous tip?
Anonymous #64429210: The views expressed here seem to be from a riled public. I take it from a different perspective that my personal banks accounts are nobody's business, except mine. You can't break the law to chase your mission.
Gerard Lourdesamy: Under Bafia, there is "public interest disclosure" where fraud, cheating and other criminality is suspected in a company.
And what slander? If it is slander, please sue for defamation. Criminal defamation does not apply to companies. This is a classic case of killing the messenger.
If this happened in China, the entire NFC board would have been put on a show trial and summarily executed by firing squad for crimes against the people. Alas in Malaysia, it is common even for crooks to be held in high esteem by the establishment.
Sadirah: This is like former Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his Official Secrets Act. Have that and you can hide all the wrongdoings and get away with it.
Bafia has its reasons and definitely it is not to cover up the wrongs done in the Cowgate scandal. The law is an ass and if it covers wrongdoing then we have to also expose the law.
There is no law meant to cover up wrongdoings. This will be a paradox. Desperate people are trying to cover themselves now that they are caught with their pants down. Serve you right and this BN culture has been pervasive over the last decades.
I hope more will be uncovered so that we can realise how these crooks exploited the law to protect themselves.
Justice Kini: We are glad that in 2008 Pakatan gained 80-over seats or else Umno-BN will hide all its misdeeds.
Now Umno has got people being exposed one at a time for all their misdeeds like illegal flow of corruption funds, ministers' moral issues... the list is too long.
Now it's no longer a one-way street like the previous 55 years. Now you stop at every traffic light. If we find it's red we stop you, and in between you will need to stop at every intersection.
Just pay back the soft loan with interest. It's not your money, but ours. If Swiss and Hong Kong banks can cooperate with their anti-corruption agency, why is our Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) still sitting on their hands?
If our PM is firm, which he is not, you and your entire family would be serving jail terms by now.
Anonymous #88568176: So the NFC is prepared to use the police and resort to the courts to block the criminal breach of trust (CBT) exposes.
And we can expect the police, the attorney-general (AG) and even the judicial system to act in concert against this very effort to expose CBT using public money. That's what this government does so very well.
Cannon: Look who's crying out loud about law-breaking.
Joker: Can the NFC be more consistent? On one hand, NFC said they will sue Rafizi and the bank for disclosing financial data, which basically means the disclosures made by Rafizi are true.
However, on the other hand, NFC said Rafizi's statements were founded on lies. So which is which?
The court should just throw out the case with costs to NFC for abusing the court process and wasting the court's time.
Anonymous #41809171: Rafizi and the bank which leaked NFC directors' personal banking details may have 'broken the law', but they have my full support and respect because they have risked so much just to try and stop the abuse of taxpayers' money.
The prime minister and the government, on the other hand, have been slow and reluctant to act against Mohamad Salleh and his offspring. They are the real wrongdoers here and should be held fully accountable.
Jimmy Ng: Instead of admitting his guilt and apologising to the government, the rakyat and the whole nation, Mohd Salleh has instead decided to go after Rafizi under a technicality.
