The Selangor government has issued 94,474 survey forms to resolve claims of dubious voters in the state’s electoral roll.

According to a statement issued by the state today, the forms will be distributed to seven state constituencies to verify the details of the newly registered voters in the area.

The constituencies are Pandamaran, Port Klang, Selat Klang, Sri Serdang, Kota Anggerik, Batu Tiga, Sri Muda and Sri Andalas.

 

With the assistance of village heads, the state assembly representatives are required to authenticate the voters’ registration, as part of the ‘Selangorku Bersih’ programme.

The first phase of the programme was launched on May 19 where 13,034 survey forms were issued in the Batang Kali constituency, and as of last week 1,116 surveys had been returned.

The state had pumped RM5 million for the project which was initiated last month, following the rise of about half a million or 35 percent of voters in Selangor since the last general election.
