MCA senator Heng Seai Kie wants her party to investigate whether she is involved in money politics, as alleged by party president Dr Chua Soi Lek, in order to arrive at the truth and clear her name.

"I will seek clarification from the party president. I will also request the party to initiate an investigation to clear my name," the deputy minister of women, family and community development said.

NONE However, Heng, said, her ministry was now busy with the budget, and therefore she would approach Chua later.

Chua's allegation, she admitted, has caused her personal harm, and she added that Chua has not contacted her about his allegation.

"After having gone through the allegation these few days, (harm to me) is just small matter... but this has affected the images of the cabinet, MCA and BN."

Asked whether she wanted Chua to apologise should her name be cleared, Heng simply said, "We will see."

Chua had claimed that a female deputy minister in the MCA was involved in money politics and was lobbying for the Gopeng parliamentary seat in the coming general election.

However, Heng, the only female deputy minister from the MCA, denied any such involvement in money politics, saying this wasn't her style or practise.
