Zahid sees popular vote returning to BN soon

He said this in an interview published in Malay daily Utusan Malaysia .

) admitted that no empirical studies have been carried out by credible groups or agencies which show the numbers on support for political parties to back up his claim.
“However, random samplings which were done show that the majority of the Malays have returned to BN. The majority of Indians have also returned to BN.
“While the majority of Chinese in urban areas have gone to the DAP and only some are still with BN, the rural Chinese voters have returned to the BN,” the federal minister was quoted as saying.
The signs of the popular vote returning to the BN, Ahmad Zahid claimed, are evident in the resurgence of BN’s ‘Red Wave’ in Kelantan that may even unseat the ruling PAS government.
He also believes that troubles in Selangor and Kedah have pushed the middle ground towards BN.
Ahmad Zahid also related the thousands of people he saw flooding BN programmes in Penang which he claimed translated into popular support, believing that the coalition will also maintain its control of Perak if the state party machinery works hard.
The BN leader also alleged that the opposition is green with envy at the success of the BN government’s blue ocean strategy which had managed to bring infrastructure development to the people, winning their support.
