Who's the altruistic Sabah Umno backer?

YOURSAY 'What kind of 'big business' Sabah Umno did to be paid to the tune of RM40 million and the payment received in cold hard cash?'

Reveal sources of RM40mil 'contribution', gov't told

your say Magnus: One must be very altruistic indeed, I suppose, to cough up RM40 million of hard-earned cash and give it to the political party that forms the main controlling arm of the seriously long-time in power coalition government, and more importantly, do that strikingly sterling altruitsic activity for no quid pro quo benefits whatsoever to the donor/s.

Bloody marvelous that, isn't it? I can't help wondering who these good and kind souls are so I can maybe shake their hands and give them all a pat on their altruistic backs.

But as I mentioned elsewhere, I suppose anything is now possible in the surrealism now existing in the wonderful nature of a BN-powered Malaysia, aka Bolehland.

Odin: Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M) secretary-general Josie Fernandez, you are absolutely correct.

The problem, as Magnus above has said, is that the situation in Malaysia is surreal. It is similar to that of the theoretical universe of anti-particles.

The government of the day holds a view diametrically opposite to that of normal people, such as you. Therefore, your making of your call tantamount to banging your head against a brick wall.

Joe Lee: Kudos to yet another gutsy Indian Malaysian woman, Josie Fernandez. We should celebrate that Malaysia are blessed with so many of these brave women.

Their courage and righteousness are a huge contrast with the deceit and corruption of those lowly leaders who have long given in to the devil's temptations.

Onyourtoes: When a minister declared that "no elements of corruption was proven", what does that tell us about our system of government and the role of MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission)?

I think, at most, Minister in the PM's Department Nazri Abdul Aziz could only answer that MACC is investigating and it is up to the commission to eventually clear or charge the persons involved.

So why bother to set up an anti-corruption commission? Just making the report to Nazri would have saved us a lot of money and trouble.

Like PKFZ (Port Klang Free Zone) and NFC (National Feedlot Corporation), I believe this payoff is corruption that has spread long and wide so much so that almost everyone of power and influence was involved.

I don't believe MACC or the police or AG's Chamber are that nincompoop or incompetent. They are all linked up with their political masters like a giant web - no one can ever make a false move; they share the spoil and keep the good life till it is over.

FellowMalaysian: What kind of 'big business' a political party like Sabah Umno did to be paid to the tune of RM40 million and the payment received in cold hard cash by a courier sent from Sabah to a foreign country?

Nazri's claim that the money is meant for Sabah Umno's coffer has opened up a can of worm. It is difficult for us accept how Nazri could have declared that no corruption took place when facts and evidence proved otherwise.

Nazri and Sabah CM Musa Aman will not be let off the hook and they have to demonstrate indisputable evidence to support their claim.

Anonymous #55961902: The money could be stolen from Suaram, which according to the senile former PM of ours is taking money from billionaire financier George Soros. The more they try to cover up, there are more questions than answers.

Kelate: If it is money for Umno, why must Umno have a bank account in Switzerland, hold in trust by timber tycoon Michael Chia?

Why didn't Chia not just TT (telegraphic transfer) the money into Umno's bank account? Why the need to carry the money from Hong Kong?

Why did BNM (Bank Negara Malaysia) set the rule that we cannot take out or take in hard currency worth more than US$10,000?

Is it legal to carry so much cash into a country, so long as it is not for a person but an entity? BNM, please shed some light.

Abasir: It is very possible that government think-tank Pemandu has two categories of corruption (just like it has ‘index' and ‘non-index' crime). One is called sponsorship/contribution and the other is classified as "illegal funds from Soros".

Anything coming to Umno for example, by way of hard cash carried by bagmen in suitcases, is marked 'sponsorship/contribution' which automatically means no MACC action required.

All Umnofied watchdog agencies are expected to act in accordance with this classification. There is probably some circular to this effect.

That explains Nazri's statement and the heavily "sponsored" wedding in Malacca.

Swipenter: TI-M asking Umno to reveal the sources of RM40,000,000 contribution is like telling the latter to confirm that it was corruption money.

The way they tried to get the money into the country is already 99.99999% a clear indictment that it was not clean money.

Good Men: Yes, Musa is very clean. That is why in Sabah, he is known as the vacuum cleaner...

'Perhaps Umno's RM40mil came from Soros'
