The gates to Johor are opened and unguarded

VOXPOP 'There's a fairly good chance of Johor, Negri Sembilan and Malacca falling to Pakatan if DAP plays it right.'

Pact forged to let DAP have Bentong, Gelang Patah

vox populi small thumbnail Ferdtan: Johor can deliver more seats for Pakatan, and may even fall, as we would expect much cleaner fights in the state as compared to states under Pakatan's control.

The reason is that (we surmise only) some rogue/rogues in the Election Commision (EC) had been working overtime to manipulate the electoral process in Pakatan-held states, especially in Selangor and Penang. Much evidence had been exposed and complaints made by the opposition of the fact.

We know the position of PM Najib Abdul Razak in remaining as the top man of Umno hinges upon the retaking of the richest state in the nation, Selangor. It will still be seen as a failure even if BN retain federal power with no two-thirds majority.

We believe lesser efforts by crooks are being made in Johor because it is deemed as such to be the BN stronghold. The limited resources most probably had been diverted elsewhere.

We hope this is true - that the gateway to Johor is left open and unguarded. With DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang leading the charge into the southern state, we expect the ‘criminals' in the EC would be back working overtime to overcome Pakatan's advance.

Just watch their movements - see if there are any increase in our postal votes, last-minute realigning of the constituencies' boundaries and more phantom voters.

Anonymous_5fb: Gelang Patah parlimentary seat, which consists of Skudai and Nusajaya state seats, is part of Johor that is having the most growth.

It is planned this way by Umno because they are so confident that Johor is their fortress. So DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang, let's break this Umno's fortress.

FellowMalaysian: There's a fairly good chance of Johor, Negri Sembilan and Malacca falling to Pakatan if DAP plays it right.

The perfect storm may conjure itself again as had happened in 2008 while this time, it will manifest itself in these three states, as well as Sabah and Sarawak.

Dr M: Gains in Kedah can offset East M'sia losses

Rick Teo: To a certain extent, I agree that Kedah is the worst of the Pakatan Rakyat's states in terms of governance.

Therefore, it is not impossible that Kedah will return to BN. A lesson to learn is not to pick an unpopular and incapable menteri besar.

The present one is a poor choice. He should be a school teacher and not the chief minister.

FellowMalaysian: What former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad didn't mention was his hope to win back the state so that his son, Mukhriz, could become its new menteri besar.

Everyone knows his real intention but he can't be too direct, lest his plan backfire.

Of course, if BN wins the majority of parliamentary seats in Kedah, following Mahathir's wishes, the state will invariably fall too.

NewMalaysia: "The state cannot be developed without the federal government's support," Mahathir was quoted as saying.

This is a clear admission that BN has been lying to the people by accusing Pakatan of not fulfilling their previous election manifesto. Without the support from the federal government, how can a state prosper?

But look at the hard work done by Pakatan, especially in Penang and Selangor. Despite the obstacles from the BN-led federal government, they still managed to perform rather well.

Giudice: I guess the only way to solve this problem is to ensure that Pakatan is in power at the federal level.

LJC: Mr ex-premier, it is my wish that you stay alive until the day when the Umno Baru you created is wiped out of Malaysian politics.

I am one of the few remaining souls who still credit you for some of the good things you did for our country.

But for all the good things you did, you have also equaled them with evil and inhumane acts that have made many Malaysians to despise and hate you.

You are still of the mindset that dividing the races is the only way to achieve the supremacy of the Malays.

You probably hated the British for their acts - such as looking down at poor Malay folks like you - during your boyhood days.

Yet you have been mimicking your British masters by wanting to create a master race of the Malays, and the rest being mere coolies.

Sadly it did not work, and I'm afraid that you will die a failed man with your evil vision not coming true.

OMG!!: Pakatan should take Mahathir seriously given that the PAS Kedah menteri besar must be the most unpopular opposition politician in Malaysia and that the Kedah state government is the weakest Pakatan state government of all.
