Immigration records show that pro-Umno blogger Papagomo, whose name is Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, holds two identity cards that have the same dates of birth, PKR claimed today.

NONE PKR director of strategy Rafizi Ramli ( left ) said today immigration records show that the civilian and police identity cards (ICs) of Wan Muhammad have the same date of birth.

Rafizi showed records that for both identities, Wan Muhammad holds a birth date of Jan 21, 1983, as per immigration records dated in 2010.

Although one of the records did not reveal that both the identities shared the same international passport, Rafizi claimed that there is court correspondence proving that Wan Muhammad's address for both identities is in Danau Kota.

"I will speak to my lawyers to see if these information can be disclosed," he said.

Rafizi also claimed that Papagomo's family members will be coming out to testify that the latter is indeed Wan Muhammad during defamation trials taking place against the blogger.

Rafizi said the information disclosed today should be able to quell any lingering doubts about the identities of Papagomo and Wan Muhammad Azri.

Papagomo a phantom voter?

Last week, Rafizi produced evidence to show that Papagomo was a "phantom voter", with two identity cards and that he was registered as a voter in two different areas, one with his police identity card and the other with his civilian identity card.

Papagomo is a former traffic police officer who was charged in court with corruption, before becoming a businessperson and a blogger. However, his police and civilian identity cards show different dates of birth.

"Why is it that the Election Commission (EC) has two different records while other departments, including immigration, seem to have records showing that he is the same person?" Rafizi asked.

The two names in the electoral roll have minute spelling differences - one is Wan Muhd Azri Wan Deris, who votes in the Ampang parliamentary constituency and carries a police IC, and the other is Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, who votes in Wangsa Maju and has a civilian IC.

NONE Rafizi also claimed that Papagomo's family members would testify that the blogger is indeed Wan Muhammad in any one of the two defamation suits filed against him - one by Anwar and the other in Kota Baru by PAS vice-president Husam Musa.

"Over the course of time, his own family members will come out to testify that Wan Muhammad Azri is indeed Papagomo ( right )," he said.

In the suit filed against him by Husam, Wan Muhammad Azri's defence is that he and Papagomo are not the same person.

However, Rafizi said, even Wan Muhammad Azri's ex-wife is ready to testify against the former cop.

PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution later confirmed that Husam has included Wan Muhammad Azri's ex-wife as a witness in his defamation suit against the blogger.

In another related development, Malay daily Sinar Harian visited the address of Wan Muhammad in Ampang provided by Rafizi and found that the terrace house was not occupied.

House unoccupied for more than five years

Baharuddin Abu Talib, 67, who lives next door, said the house has been unoccupied for more than five years.

Baharuddin told Sinar Harian that the house was owned by a doctor of Sikh ethnicity, who is believed to be currently residing in London.

“I have been living here for 37 years and never heard of the name, 'Wan Muhammad Azri'.

“This house has been put up for sale for a long time but nobody wants to buy it. The house owner is also not seen returning here in the past five years,” he is quoted as saying.

Baharuddin also revealed that the house had been rented to a mechanic and his family, but only for a short period.

The Ampang address is one of the two addresses used by Wan Muhammad in court documents, Rafizi announced at a press conference last Friday.
