Yet again, PM dishes out more goodies

your say Malaysian First: At the rate PM Najib Razak is giving out the goodies and monies, it's as though there is no tomorrow. The country can go bankrupt.

Having said that, this is nothing compared to the billions lost through high-level corruption over the years. The rakyat should not overlook this while enjoying all these goodies.

Najib has ignored the fact that the people also want him to fight corruption at the highest level. He can't do it because too many of Umno-BN politicians/family members/cronies have gotten fat from milking the people.

It's like a disease that refused to go away - except through a change of government, that is.

2LAN: Handing out goodies but not changing BN policies - the PM is clearly trying to distract us with all these goodies.

Even my club received RM2,000 for attending his Chinese New Year party. You think we are stupid enough to vote for him? Imagine if they are so generous with our money, how much are they keeping back for their own pockets?

Najib and his team signed TI's Election Integrity Pledge in February this year. Transparency International, isn't the above a violation of the pledge?

CQ Muar: Najib, you never say die, do you? Prancing from place to place buying votes with goodies at the expense of taxpayers.

You talk about bounty to share but most of the nation's wealth had gone into your bank account and those of your cronies.

People of Malaysia, take the goodies by all means, but cast your votes wisely.

Clever Voter: The never-ending orgies of spending will not convince urban electorates who see BN as reckless and unaccountable. While there those who will want the patronage system to continue, there are equally many who are not convinced.

The underlying feelings are in favour of change.

Victor Johan: All these monies dished out will soon enough come back to the hands and coffers of the business-politicians and cronies of Umno-BN.

And let us not forget that the money is all borrowed (debt) money. It is common knowledge that the nation is already in deficit for several years now.

How can we prosper by borrowing relentlessly? The national debt has increased at the fastest rate over the last four years under this government. When the time comes, the nation will go bankrupt instead of becoming a high-income state.

This government is worse than a small hawker who knows that money spent from endless borrowing will never make your business successful. These small goodies given to you will cost you and your future generation thousands times to pay back.

Ferdtan: Najib is practising the Russian "scorched earth" tactic during the Second World War when the mighty army of Nazi Germans were at their gates. Russian then was weak and appeared to be defeated. This is like BN.

The Russians staged a gigantic operation to move its economy capacity away from its frontline territories to ensure it would not fall into enemy's hands. Entire factories were relocated and the bridges, farmlands, bridges and anything useful to the enemy were systematically destroyed.

BN is so desperate that they have just given more goodies to employees of seven statutory bodies. The increase expenditure will surely upset the next government's coffers.

To Najib, if he cannot retain his position as PM in the next government, he might as well sabotage the interest of the new government.

We have seen that the government have speeded up on signing huge business contracts with their cronies (especially with the special one by the name of Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary).

Many of these contracts are land-based. In London, rich Malaysians who could be BN cronies were buying properties with their ill-gotten wealth. They must be afraid of the change of government; that they have to return the stolen money back to the people.

Money can easily repatriated but not fixed assets like properties. This is certainly the last days of the BN regime - like the Roman Empire.

WTF: What is going on with civil service employee entitlements? Why are they not all on a standard scale? Why do they have to wait for the PM to decide to hand out a bribe before they get a much-needed pay rise?

Then again, why has the PM not given us business owners some kind of tax break after he made the minimum wage law?

This PM has never stood in an election as PM and he has probably spent more than all the others combined in one term.

Heavywater: My goodness, Najib is truly desperate, not because he gives goodies, which is good and long overdue, but his last remark on 'I help you, you help me'?

Najib still expects people to fall for it. Help Najib do what? Steal billions from the nation? Buy new handbags? New diamond rings?

Well, enough is enough. I think people would appreciate Najib more if he promises not to steal from the people, or stop Sarawak CM Taib Mahmud or his cronies from stealing from the people.
