Jalur Tiga (Jati) president Dr Hasan Ali is scrutinising the political situation in Selangor and the country before deciding if he will contest in the upcoming general election (GE13).
Furthermore, he also lauded views from numerous quarters as an approach on finalising his political direction.
“Maybe, in the time until the dissolution of parliament, I can find the most logical option for myself and the struggle of Islam, Malays and the institution of the Malay rulers through Jati, which I was asked to lead,” he said in a statement in Kuala Lumpur today, in response to questions if he would be contesting in GE13.
Other than being urged to contest in the Gombak Setia state seat of which he is the incumbent, he said, there were suggestions that he contest a Parliamentary seat as he did in the 1999 general election.
