Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak kicked off his nationwide 13th general election campaign today by visiting several parliamentary constituencies in Selangor, with a packed whole day programme.

Najib, who is BN chairperson, started off his campaign by meeting the people of Bandar Baru Selayang in the Selayang parliamentary constituency at 10am.

Travelling on a special bus bearing the inspirational phrase 'Menepati Janji Membawa Harapan' (Promises fulfilled, giving hope), Najib, who is also the Selangor BN chairperson, moved on to visit Taman Greenwood in the Gombak parliamentary.

He crossed over to Taman Sri Muda in the Kota Raja parliamentary constituency in the afternoon, besides spending time visiting the Shah Alam parliamentary constituency.

He ended his more than 14-hour campaign at SJK Cina Sungai Buloh in the Subang parliamentary constituency, tonight.

Najib, who is leading the BN for the first time in the GE had spent his weekend in Pekan after filing his nomination to defend the Pekan parliamentary seat.

Tomorrow the prime minister will be flying off to Sabah for a two-day visit, moving from the south in Kuala Penyu, Beaufort parliamentary to Papar and Kota Belud parliamentary constituencies before ending in Kota Kinabalu.

It will be a one-day packed programme of meeting the people sessions.

On Wednesday, he is expected to visit the people of Tenom, Keningau and Ranau parliamentary constituencies before flying back to Kuala Lumpur in the evening.
