KEDAH Kedah BN chairperson Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipa today said that the protest made by several BN and Umno supporters against certain BN new faces have subsided and that they have returned to support the candidates fielded by the coalition for the May 5 polls.

"Based on the reports I received, 90 percent of the supporters have calmed down and I believed the remaining 10 percent will soon follow suit and return to support the candidates.

NONE "As we saw at the nominations last Saturday, many of them were present and they supported the candidates and continue to put the party first," he told reporters in Alor Setar.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Bashah ( right ) said the 15-day campaign period was being fully utilised by BN candidates, especially the new faces, to win the hearts of the voters, including via the social media.

"It's easy now, they have social websites like Facebook and other electronic gadgets to promote themselves.

Last night, Ahmad Bashah, who is also BN candidate for Bakar Bata state seat, also went on a walkabout at night market areas and distributed the 'Akujanji BN' flyers to the people.
