“If it happened, please report to the police ... the allegation may not be true, (it may not be confirmed) who did it,” Ghani told KiniTV when asked to comment.
Ghani, the BN’s Gelang Patah candidate against DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang, said he was not aware of the incident although he had attended the event at the college.
“It is a public place, you know. No organisation will be able to look at any possible incident. It is actually the security (responsibility) of the police,” he added.
The students, both 19, had been assigned as 'etiquette angels' to present Najib with a pen to sign a plaque during the ground-breaking ceremony for a new building for the college.
They alleged that they had been sexually molested by BN supporters clad in BN t-shirts, who entered the campus in a motorcycle convoy with Najib.
'Najib must take responsibilty'
On the other hand, Lim demanded Najib to take responsibility for the incident.
Even though the two alleged victims did not blame the caretaker premier, Lim, however, claimed the act was carried out by "mat rempits" who accompanied Najib into the college.
"If he can't control his supporters, how could he become prime minister?"
Lim stressed that this is not a racial issue but rather an irresponsible act by Najib's campaign team.
"I hope Najib can make a statement on his next action (regarding this)," he said during a press conference in Kuala Lumpur this morning.
The incident has angered many students and members of public who have decided to hold at least three rallies tonight in Skudai, where the college is located, as well as in Kuala Lumpur, to protest against the 'political invasion' into campus.
The first protest rally was held in the campus at 4pm today by the student council of Southern University College.
The second rally will be held tonight at the car park of Sutera Mall, Skudai. Pakatan Rakyat is also organising a mammoth ceramah there.
Participants are asked to wear white clothes for the rally.
The third rally in Kuala Lumpur, will be held in front of the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall at 8pm.
Unruly behaviour
Many students also complained against the unruly behaviour of the BN supporters who entered the campus on motorcycles.
"I felt something was not right when I arrived at the event. Leaflets full of political slander were placed on chairs, and strange banners were up.
"I sat down and waited, then buses carrying people clad in BN t-shirts entered our campus and they started to shout slogans, wave flags, smoke and sound their horns.
"The whole campus was in a riot. Many people who looked like hooligans were shouting like crazy. I was shocked. The college's security guards and volunteers could not deal with such a big number," said a student Yan Hui on Facebook .
Other messages posted by Southern University College students on Facebook also claimed that BN supporters trespassed into a female hostel and punctured car tyres in the campus, which the college management has denied.
