Sabahans have themselves to blame for Project IC

YOURSAY 'The treasonous act of giving out ICs to foreigners should be punished with the death penalty. There can be no denying the truth any more.'

Ex-CM admitted KL can alter Sabah demography, RCI told

your say Absalom: When people elect leaders into office, whether PM or CM or ministers, it is their expectation that these leaders will spend their time and resources to bring advancement by way of steering the economy and country in the right direction and planning for the future so that our standard of living improves over time and our children get to will be better off than we are.

But that it seems is not the leaders' primary motive and preoccupation. On the one hand, they sat around planning on how to sustain their power, keep their jobs and weaken the opposition and sabotaged the people by rigging the elections, to the extent of using foreigners in their schemes to outnumber the locals.

And on the other hand, they became extremely rich beyond imagination. If this is not a serious case of treason and betrayal of the trust of the rakyat, I do not know what is.

Will the masterminds and the executors of these illegal scams pay for their crimes? I doubt it.

Tailek: This is high treason by the former PM in selling out Sabah sovereignty so to remain in power to commit more corruption, which is continued by the ruling politicians in Sabah to this day.

This treason should be punished with the harshest penalty of death. There can be no denying the truth any more. Too many people have given their testimony on this national betrayal.

Wg321: When Pakatan Rakyat offered 20 percent of oil revenue to Sabah at GE13, they refused to accept it. But when Umno-BN offered five percent royalty, they are happy to take it.

Sabahans are very generous people. Therefore, they should not complain when instant blue ICs (identity cards) are given to unqualified Filipinos and Indonesians on the condition they vote for Umno-BN, especially their leaders who can easily be bought with money.

I have no sympathy for the Sabahans, especially their corrupt leaders. Don't blame the West Malaysians. Blame yourself and your corrupt leaders for getting you into such a mess.

Apa Ini?: Amazing! How much more evidence before the royal commission of inquiry (RCI) on immigrants in Sabah makes its conclusions?

And yet, nothing of this is really surprising. Sabahans and lots of other Malaysians have known for a long time now that the immigrant illegal citizens issue has been used and abused by Kuala Lumpur and Sabahan politicians alike.

Native Sabahans, stand up and fight for your rights.

Fantastic4: All these revelations goes to show who is the real traitor to the country. It's time the rakyat should demand for accountability and clean up the electoral rolls as well as the ‘illegal citizens' of this country.

Lover Boy: Putrajaya can alter Sabah demography? What rubbish is this? Sabah demography has already been altered years ago.

The people who are not aware are the KDMs (KadazanDusunMuruts) themselves. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Go on, swing your arms to the Sumazau (ritual dance) for it is only a matter of time Mount Kinabalu will be taken over by the illegals. So please wake up!

Fairnsquare: The blame game over the revelations in the RCI must stop. We need to be matured to listen to all the evidence revealed in the RCI and at the end of it a collective effort must be made by all citizens on all sides of the political divide to take necessary action against the culprits, whoever they may be.

This is the nationalistic duty of all the citizens and we should do this by putting aside all political differences.

Thequest: The ancient wisdom still rings true - that you are your own worst enemy. Nobody can bully you if you are all united. But then selfish interest sets in, and outsiders can exploit it and eventually control you.

That is how the British managed to conquer a great part of the world. In the case of Singapore, nobody could bully the island state however much they tried, and see where it is now.

Ferdtan: If a second person who should be charged for treason, it should be the former Sabah chief minister Harris Salleh. Why second?

The first candidate is none other than ex-PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Giving citizenship to foreigners for votes was of such a magnitude that only a then sitting prime minister can authorise.

Gov't answers on population boom 'unsatisfactory'

MockingYou: There is no point withdrawing and re-issuing the ICs as long as the core issue (illegal immigrants) and what to do with them (amnesty, again?) are not addressed.

It seems to me that Upko is trying to launder ‘unclean' ICs into ‘clean' ones for those ‘instant' immigrants and clear up the mess for Umno Baru at one go.

Senior: You think Umno will reveal the truth? Sabah is their fixed deposit. And I can't understand why petty parties must fight amongst themselves in East Malaysia thereby handling power over to Umno Baru.

Yours Truly: The law of karma always holds true. The illegals will one day haunt BN big time.
