Who's lying over Seri Pristana HM's 'apology'?

YOURSAY ‘The state education department should direct the principal to apologise as the man is devoid of any decency and integrity.'

NGO goodwill evaporates as HM denies apology

your say Ferdtan: SK Seri Pristana headmaster Mohd Nasir Mohd Noor denied he had apologised to the parents over the ‘canteen' fiasco. Malaysian Tamilan Today secretary K Gunasekaran, who earlier announced that the headmaster had apologised, what say you?

Who is lying? You just had five-minute fame but will have life-time shame if it is proven that you had lied to get yourself in the news.

Gerard Lourdesamy:: The state education department should direct the principal to apologise as the man is devoid of any decency and integrity. He is behaving like a Perkasa member and not a teacher.

As a civil servant, he is answerable to the taxpayers. What is so difficult to apologise if you were foolish enough in the first place to ask the non-Muslim students to eat in the shower room?

Even if the canteen was being repaired or renovated, the students irrespective of race or religion should have been provided with a suitable location to have their meals. The whole episode now has descended into racial and religious bigotry thanks to the antics of the headmaster who thinks that he is above the law.

The unhappy parents should file a public interest suit against the headmaster, the school parent-teacher association, the state education director, the education minister and the federal government for discrimination and unfair treatment of their children. Perhaps then the headmaster will learn some humility.

Fair Play: The powers-that-be should take note that if there are more teachers the likes of Mohd Nasir in the national educational system, they might as well kiss it goodbye now.

Can they ever visualise the utter failure of the national educational system when only students from one community are enrolled?

Toonarmy: Mohd Nasir has the nauseating attributes to succeed as an Umno politician. He already speaks like one.

Fair Play: It is people like Mohd Nasir that will drive a wedge into any effort towards national reconciliation and national unity.

The Confucius saying 'The taller the bamboo, the more it would bend', is a classic lesson in humility that these people will never accept, much less put into practice.

ACR: Don't expect any apology from an Umno member as they believe in being ‘tuans'. Just transfer the children out. Pursue a civil remedy against the headmaster and the government. The police would not investigate any of the reports lodged by the parents.

Anonymous #039163649: My advise to the parents and the NGOs is this - forget about the headmaster's apology and forget about demanding action on the headmaster.

Just ask for an assurance from Selangor Education Department director Mahmud Karim that the children are not going to be harassed or victimised in any way, either by overt or subtle means, and move on.

Forget about the police questioning the children, it is going to get you nowhere. Just drop the whole issue, except if the harassment on the children continues.

Geronimo: Why keep on flogging a dead horse. Just pull your kids out and have them registered in another school and let this episode pass. There is nothing more anyone can do about it.

Thana55: Judge a person by the content of his character and not by the colour of his skin. Well, this man's character is utterly slimy and what is more worrisome is that they are responsible for inculcating the right values and ethics amongst our children.

AngryBird: In Umno, the word 'apologise' does not exist. Mohd Nasir is a real disgrace to society and the teaching profession.

From Penang: The headmaster had put the NGOs in an embarrassing situation. The NGOs wanted to become heroes but ended up looking like jokers. Why do they want to force the headmaster to apologise if he does not have the heart to do so?

Those who are not happy with the him should just transfer their kids out of the school. Why do you want to continue to be played by this headmaster?

MAYVBWELL: The issue at hand is not whether to transfer the child to another school. If not, it will be akin to punishing the child and his parents mentally and financially, at no fault of their own.

For the eager-to-help NGOs, the apology needs to come from headmaster Mohd Nasir's mouth.

Stop lynas!: Mohd Nasir is unfit to be a headmaster. In fact, he should go back to primary school to learn the importance of racial harmony and of not being a racist.

Mamadias: There are too many NGOs for such a a small country. Many of the NGOs are the outsourced parties for political masters, be it opposition or the ruling party. Many of the them has no sense of purpose.

I am a Muslim and I don't really whether Mohd Nasir is with Umno, PAS, DAP or otherwise. I have seen many Chinese, Indian and Malay teachers acting idiotically too.

The headmaster's apology should be given and the NGO members who also sent out threatening messages should apologise too. Let the children enjoy the school life they deserved.

Lexy: This school with the arrogant headmaster has caused much racial disharmony for so long. If the Education Ministry going to step in and punish this headmaster? Ah, wishful thinking.
