More than ten pledges made by Pakatan Rakyat as part of it's 2013 election manifesto was not reflected in the coalition's alternative budget which was launched last Thursday, MCA said today.

MCA young professionals bureau chief Chua Tee Yong said Pakatan had promised a reduction in car and fuel prices in its manifesto but this was not raised in its alternative budget.

"When the budget is compared with the manifesto, it is clear that Pakatan was lying to the people in order to just gain votes," he said during a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.

Chua, who is the son of MCA president Chua Soi Lek and Labis MP, said that he regretted the fact that Pakatan was able to "change it's promises" within such a short period of time.

"I urge the Sg Limau voters to reconsider all the promises that Pakatan has made," he further said.

He said that promises of providing a RM 1,000 aid for the elderly and also the pledge to increase oil royalty for Sabah and Sarawak were both not part of the alternative budget as well.
