PAS central committee Mazlan Aliman has reportedly been barred again from entering Sarawak today.

According to a posting on his Facebook , the orders for the ban came from the Chief Minister's Office.

"I have been detained by the Immigration authorities upon arrival at Sibu Airport at 11.25 today.

"The explanation given is that it is upon the orders of the Chief Minister's Office.

"The Immigration officer said the Sarawak government doesn't want me," wrote Mazlan, who is also PAS land bureau chief.

He said he believed the entry ban was related to the Sarawak rally over land rights that is to be officiated by the PAS president in Beting Maro tomorrow.

He later posted on the social networking site that he arrived at Senai Airport, Johor at about 2.05pm, alongside a photo of a report from the Immigration Department stating that he had been barred from entering Sarawak for ‘security reasons’.

This is the second time Sarawak had prevented Mazlan's entry, since turning him back on July 6, 2011 at the Miri Airport.

Meanwhile, Sarawak PAS information chief Andri Zulkarnaen Hamden said the barring of Mazlan’s entry was a clear abuse of law since Mazlan has a clean criminal record.

“Clearly certain parties are afraid of the exposé after exposé of land abuses and scandals involving BN leaders in the country, particularly Sarawak.

“Mazlan, through his NGO Anak, is seen as a thorn in the flesh to land robbers who treat the people’s land as their means of accumulating wealth,” he said in a statement today.
