NGO warns of Christian Malays posing as Muslims
David Dass: Pick an 'expert' and create a story that will scare some and then pressure the government to implement further policies to restrict the activities of Christians.
The government should restrict the activities of people who are bent on sowing the seeds for future conflict. Is it real that the Christian population will grow to equal the Muslims?
The Chinese population was 50% of the Malayan population in 1955. The Chinese population was 36 percent in 1971. And the Chinese population is 26% today.
The Indian population in 1955 was 11 percent. It is 7% today. In 1963, Christians were the majority in Sabah. Today, they are a minority.
Today, we have more than a million young professionals working abroad - most of whom are non-Muslims. Most of those emigrating are non-Muslims. Non-Muslim families are getting smaller and smaller.
So on what basis does this expert come up with his scare theory?
Sali Tambap: These Muslim NGOs are doing a great favour to Christian evangelists. They do not have to evangelise, these NGOs are doing it for them.
Don't these idiots realise that if Muslims are so easily converted to Christianity even by covert Christians as they make them to be, that Muslims would, out of curiosity must be thinking that there is something special about Christianity?
If they know many Muslims have converted, they too would be tempted to convert sooner or later - that's the natural way of advertising. The more people go for it, the more others will follow.
Proarte: Why don't Malay Muslims start to use their brain and refer to the Quran which they believe is the ultimate source of truth?
Why do Malays allow themselves to be deceived by bogus Muslim 'scholars' who spew such drivel about religion which insults the intelligence of normal people.
Why are the Malays singled out by Umno/PAS and their proxies as if they were the most stupid race on earth who will believe any nonsense thrown at them?
Malays must realise that hudud/Allah/murtad are issues invented by Islamist politicians merely to control the Malay mind and to instil tension in our plural society - the age-old 'divide and rule' formula.
Do Malays want to be part of a doomed race and a failed state or do they want to rehabilitate themselves to become citizens with dignity and basic intelligence?
The Quran explicitly says that Jews and Christians whom Muslims are in dispute with over theological matters, nevertheless worship the One God Allah. Indeed, Malays must educate themselves on Islam.
Anonymous_3f4b: These so-called Muslim NGOs and their cohorts are part of the conspiracy to demonise Christians in Malaysia to the extent of speaking ill of the religion.
It is most surprising that the authorities allow such a forum where religious sensitivities and belittling of Christianity is allowed without impediment.
Just imagine what would happen if Christians are allowed a forum to criticise and speak ill of Islam.
Vijay47: Most of the comments here seem to condemn the event held by Pertubuhan Muafakat Sejahtera Masyarakat Malaysia (PMSMM).
I, on the other hand, support it as it is clear proof that Malaysia practises real democracy and freedom of speech. Nobody should try to take away that right from us.
By the way, I am confident that PMSMM will not object that some non-Muslim friends and I will be hosting a similar event soon where we will discuss inter alia Muhammad's preferences.
Paul Warren: With all this negativity and demonising of Christianity, I wonder how many in the audience would have thought of finding out from the horse’s mouth about how much of what they are told is true.
Obviously, you can't hope to establish the truth by listening to your usual Muslim source. You would want to find out from the Christians themselves.
There are after all Christians who are teaching them even and yet, hopefully, they don't represent the demons that they are made out to be.
All that is needed from this demonising is a curiosity aroused. And that seed is planted by none other than these Christian haters.
Milosevic: I think I know the problem of these Malay-Muslim extremists. They are afflicted with paranoid personality disorder (PPD), which is difficult to cure.
They want it to spread and produce Malay group personality disorder (MGPD). Here are the symptoms of PPD which appeared in a medical site:
1. Have recurrent suspicions without reason.
2. Are hypersensitive and take criticism poorly.
3. Are unforgiving and hold grudges.
4. Read hidden meanings in the innocent remarks or from casual looks of others.
5. Doubt the commitment, loyalty, or trustworthiness of others.
6. Are generally cold and distant in their relationships with others, and might become controlling and jealous.
7. Have difficulty relaxing.
8. Perceive attacks on their character that are not apparent to others; they generally react with anger and are quick to retaliate.
9. Cannot see their role in resolving problems or conflicts and believe they are always right.
Can you see the fit to the mindset of these sick, hating people? Group therapy is urgently needed.
