YOURSAY ‘Will Khairy take disciplinary action against these Umno thugs?’

KJ: Intruding into Dewan wrong but demo justified

Wg321: Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said it was wrong to barge into the Penang State Legislative Assembly.

So is Khairy going to take any disciplinary action against these Umno thugs? Or is he trying to pretend to investigate and later make “don’t know”, just like the police?

Fair Play: Khairy, since you represent the new generation of Umno members, I would like to ask this simple question - Can Umno change, I mean really change?

But judging by the action of these demonstrators, it seems to me the only law that is applicable to them is Umno law.

Swipenter: Countless threats, insults, baseless accusations and hurtful remarks have been made against non-BN political parties, Christians, Chinese and Indians by Umno Baru politicians and their NGOs, but I don't see them demonstrating in the streets or barging violently into the Dewan to show their anger and displeasure.

Instead they prefer use the pen to do that. After all, the pen is mightier than the sword.

Oriole: It looks like the ruling party has descended to new lows in its downward trajectory. Khairy, this was not a demonstration, these were apes and thugs, howling and screaming for the state representative's blood and calling him racist names.

Is this what your pathetic party represents? Let's hear some civilised remorse from you.

And RSN Rayer's comments were directed at Kepala Batas Reezal Merican Naina Merican, why are you distorting this and creating your own little fiction about Umno being insulted?

Onyourtoes: Hello Umno, please don't talk as if you are the only victims here. Don't equate criticism against certain individuals in Umno as criticism against Malays in general and Islam.

Umno deserves criticism as much as any political party in the country. Don't condone barbaric behaviour.

Those who intruded into the assembly should be charged soonest possible. Otherwise it is condoning lawlessness.

Wg321: This Umno mob did not come to demonstrate but they went on a rampage longing for the blood of Rayer as shown in the KiniTV video clip .

Luckily Rayer was not in the Dewan. Otherwise there will be bloodshed. As usual the police will not take any action because there was no violent yet. The most the police will do is to probe and investigate. After that NFA (no further action).

This Umno mob remind me of the Nazi brownshirts which I used to watch in the History Channel on YouTube.

Abasir: So KJ, what you are really saying is that it is alright if the barbarians are at the gates, so long as they don't go inside.

And is it alright if decent Malaysians refer to them as barbarians, (uncivilised and uncouth as these Umno members are), given the way they have behaved?

Mushiro: In the Perak fiasco, the police allowed the Perak State Assembly speaker to be dragged out of the House. Now in the Penang State Assembly, the police again allowed Umno hooligans to go on a wild rampage.

Where ever there is a Pakatan Rakyat state government, the police collaborates with Umno. The people are watching and they are sick of this.

Not only will MCA or Gerakan lose votes, Umno too will lose votes because of this. Many Malays are fair and believe in democracy. Indeed, Islam does not allow this.

Wiser: Hooligans, gangsters, thugs are the trademark of Umno. Who in their right mind would want to be part of this lawless outfit in this 21st century?

MCA is right. No Chinese will ever go back to MCA if this is how Malaysia will be governed by BN. Let's not be part of this circle that will lead Malaysia to be governed by thugs.

And to the authorities, it’s time to wake up if you still want to be in power. Change now. Rope in all these hooligans, show that you will not stand for racist thuggery, hooliganism, and law and order is name of the game.

CucuMalaysia: The unruly mob caused damage to the Penang Dewan's gate and the poles of the Malaysia and Penang flags.

Will Umno be paying for the damage since these mainly Malay imposters are from the party? And don't use taxpayers' money, please.

Guyintheglass: Umno needs to take action against these disgraceful intruders and not just leave it to the police to investigate. If you do that, you are just paying lip service to such disgraceful act by your members.

Ksn: So Khairy, you said barging into the Dewan was wrong. But is not illegal? Is it not barbaric? What if the victim they were hunting for was in the Dewan?

What was their motive, intention in searching for him? Was it to beat him up? Where is law and order in this country and who are responsible to enforce them?

The gangsters were definitely Umno Baru members. Will any action be taken against them, Khairy?

CQ Muar: According to Khairy and Penang Opposition Leader Jahara Hamid, they implied that the remark was unacceptable and warranted a demo or protest, but not barging into the Dewan.

May I then ask the two if they have use the word before (be honest)? Such a word as 'celaka' is commonly uttered even in schools, and from teachers as well.

What's the big deal compared  to those labelling the Chinese "babi", Indians "lembu", and the list goes on? Weren't those name-calling more insulting and hurtful than the oft-used 'celaka'?

Weren't the reactions of those unruly mobsters uncouth? If so, what action would you consider appropriate as justifiable punishment to be instituted?

Yes, I can predict the same answer from both - silence is golden, right?

Whatif: When the powers-that-be condone such action by only giving lip service, people will get the idea that they could do such things and would continue to do so.
