'Divided bench proves leave should be granted'
The narrow majority of four to three in the Federal Court's ruling on the use of the word 'Allah' by Catholic weekly Herald shows there are serious issues that need to be heard by the Federal Court, says the Council of Churches Malaysia.
In expressing disappointment over the yesterday's outcome, council general secretary Reverend Hermen Shastri said a full hearing of the appeal of the Archbishop of the Catholic Church should have been allowed.
