When Umno & Co resorts to racism, DAP blamed

YOURSAY ‘History shall judge that the Malay race is not parochial and racist.’

KJ flays DAP for 'twisting' race riot remark

Onyourtoes: Sports and Youth Minister Khairy Jamaluddin (KJ), you asked what has DAP contributed to national unity.

DAP did not have to contribute to national unity as it did not create disunity the way a desperate party is doing it now - twisting and converting everything into a threat to the Malays, Islam and the royalty.

Yes, national unity is the responsibility of all, but the government and national leaders have pivoted roles to play. They could inculcate and nurture unity, but they could also indoctrinate and incite dissension.

I think all right-minded Malaysians, irrespective of race and religion, know who is inciting and causing fissures among Malaysians in order to remain in power. It is as clear as the bright sunny day these desperate politicians are appealing to parochialism, chauvinism, bigotry and supremacy of their own race.

You said we should study history and history will judge. Yes, indeed, history shall judge that the Malay race is not parochial and racist, it is their immoral and corrupted-to-the-core leaders who are parochial and racist.

Malaccan: Ah, KJ. To do the dirty deed is bad enough. But to cover it up and blame the one who exposed the dirty deed is beneath even you.

Do not pretend not to know the true dastardly intention of your party's deputy president when he made the veiled threat against all Malaysians. He did it to put fear in all of us so that we might unite behind your party's protection and leadership.

Please don’t insult us. We are not gullible. You may con others who have been indoctrinated for decades but even you must hear your party's death knell.

Malaysians are way past your empty rhetoric and lies. So let the reminder be heard on your side too. Your party is a dying dinosaur threshing around causing damage in its death throes.

The excuses you are forced to make for such despots are just prolonging the coming changes for which the people will pay through suffering and poverty. You need to remember that this affects your future and that of your kids too.

Swipenter: "World history has taught us that the use of divisive issues without control can cause unrest," said Khairy.

This is exactly what Umno Baru thinks they can do. They have been repeatedly threatening the non-Malays with another ‘May 13'. This threat is one sure way in their minds to get the non-Malays to be compliant and submissive to their whims and fancies.

But we are not going to bow to your threats and we refuse to take the blame for the failings of the Malay community anymore. We condemn the massive corruption pervading throughout our country and society under the watch of the Umno Baru-dominated government.

Enough is enough. This once upon time cocky young upstart has morphed into an super-duper apple polisher to senior Umnoputra politicians unlike those days when his father-in-law was PM.

Magnus: Dear KJ, has the government spent any time over the last four decades or so explaining to the people the truth/facts of what happened on and in the few weeks following May 13, 1969?

Has anyone been brought to face justice for all that wanton murder and torture of innocent Malaysian men, women and children? If not, then why not?

What is there to hide from Malaysians anymore when you, my pet and I and many others in the real world inside and outside Malaysia know the truth of exactly what happened in that tragedy resulting from that alleged coup d'état to remove and replace the lawfully elected moderate prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, with an ultra-conservative and shrewd hardliner so as to preserve political power in the hands of those few heartlessly cruel Malaysians?

Tholu: Khairy, granted, reminding the people of a possible racial catastrophe by itself is not a threat. I agree that perennial unity cannot be taken for granted and needs constant nurturing to hold it intact.

However, Khairy, the contention is not the reminder. The shock and concern expressed by Lim Kit Siang over Muhyiddin’s irresponsible May 13 remark (and all the views and comments he had made all these years) is not just his, Khairy, but is the sentiment of all right-thinking and peace-loving Malaysians irrespective of race and religion.

It surprises me that as an Oxford student, you don’t even have the intelligence to decipher and deduce the mood and state of mind of Muhyiddin’s thoughts on the people and the country. He is a racist and a religious bigot, a bête noire to democracy.

He recognises his limited intelligence and therefore knows that he is incompetent to be in the government. His words lately reflect his dejections and frustrations since a faction in Umno wants him out.

SusahKes: So, if national unity 'is the responsibility of all', where does that leave Perkasa, Isma, Ridhuan Tee Abdullah, Utusan Malaysia ? They don't have to shoulder any responsibility, is it?

The BN government has even admitted to bank rolling some of these NGOs. So who was responsible in signing the payment approval?

As I have said before, never trust the guy who was standing and beaming behind then Umno Youth chief Hishammuddin Hussein when he raised that keris at the Umno general assembly.

Tan Kim Keong: Khairy must first ask Muhyiddin what was his motive in saying that another May 13 is not impossible because the position of Islam, Malays and syariah courts are perceived to be threatened?

What indeed is the real intent of Muhyiddin? How does one not see it as a veiled threat to 'other quarters'?

KJ too blind to see the elephant in the room
