Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim was tight-lipped over his meeting with PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang yesterday evening, merely describing it as "good as usual".

According to Sinar Harian which caught Anwar at the Sultan Mahmud Airport, Kuala Terengganu, the PKR supremo refused to elaborate despite being bombarded by questions.

"We discussed many issues, all kinds of matters (with the PAS leadership).

"The meeting was good, as usual," he was quoted as saying.

Anwar was accompanied by PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution, Terengganu PKR chief Azan Ismail and other state PKR leaders.

They were departing for Kuala Lumpur after meeting with Abdul Hadi.

Anwar had reportedly met Abdul Hadi at a hotel in Kuala Terengganu for an hour.

According to Harakah Daily , PAS secretary-general Mustafa Ali confirmed the meeting was about the Selangor crisis.

Both PKR and PAS secretary-generals were present in the meeting between Anwar and Abdul Hadi (right), as well as the latter's political secretary Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.

"DAP have also been informed of this meeting," Mustafa was quoted as saying.

He also confirmed that DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng had already met Abdul Hadi on the matter before this.

PKR and DAP have endorsed a move to replace Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim but PAS remains as the sole dissenting member in Pakatan.

Last Saturday, PKR expelled Abdul Khalid from the party for refusing to vacate his menteri besar position.

However, a defiant Abdul Khalid yesterday obtained the Selangor sultan's consent to stay on as menteri besar after claiming he still has majority support in the state assembly.

PKR which has found it difficult to work with Abdul Khalid, is attempting to replace him with party president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
