, who is also the son of PAS spiritual leader Nik Aziz Nik Mat, said that some parties are not comfortable that PAS is quickly emerging as the "strongest Pakatan Rakyat party".
He said PAS' quest to uphold Islam in its truest sense in Malaysia has made the western world and "Islam's enemies" nervous all over the world.
"With BN ageing and in the brink of collapsing, PAS' emergence as the main player in the opposition pact is worrying enough for them," added the Pasir Mas MP.
Thus, he said, begun efforts to weaken PAS "from within".
Nik Abduh said there is a "slander of identity crisis" against Islam the world over.
"These people cripple the calls for an all-encompassing Islam and replace it with an Islam which they could accept and could compromise with," he said.
He said that PAS members must be aware of this movement.
