YOURSAY ‘When the burning of the Bible starts, it will be too late.’

Has any Bible been burnt? BN MP scorches critics

Lim chong leong: Sabah MP Marcus Mojigoh misses the woods from the trees.

It is not the actual burningof the Bible itself, although that would be disastrous, but the threat itself is the insult and hurtful, and incites inter-religious hatred. The threat itself should not be condoned.

This Sabah MP is just good at protecting his own rice bowl and fat pocket. He is a traitor to his people.

Anonymous #20513663: When the burning of the Bible starts, it will be too late. BN must immediately stop its brinksmanship of religious and racial extremism. When the country starts burning it's too late.

Soo Jin Hou: Not yet (the Bible has not been burnt). But churches have.

Anonymous #19098644: If a netizen were to call for the burning of the Quran, what do you think will happen tomorrow? If someone threatens to kill the prime minster, do we wait until the PM is murdered before action is taken? Or, as this idiot from BN Sabah says?

Has the Quran been burnt or the PM murdered yet? It is called instigation to violence and threatening murder.

Azhar: What warped mentality. This shows how the decay has spread and minds corrupted over prolonged exposure to distortion of facts and events.

Threatening to burn is not an offence. It is actually considered a defence. Threatening to slap is not an offence. Threatening to kill is not an offence.

The act must be carried out before action is taken. Therefore you have to kill before action is taken. Hahaha!

Have you ever heard of verbal assualt? Do you know that you can be sued for it? Parliment appears to be doomed.

Anonymous_3f94: No one has overthrown the government, so why was student Adam Adli Abdul Halim charged and found guilty (of sedition for calling for the BN government to be overthrown)?

Keturunan Malaysia: I remember the time many long years back when I called the police in the night to inform them that there was someone outside my window trying to break in.

The officer at the other end asked me, "Has the guy already broken in?"

I replied, "No, not yet.”

He retorted back, "Wait until he breaks in and then call us."

RZC: Does that idiot understand that being seditious is about what is spoken or written and not what is actually done?

If there was no worry about Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali speaking, and because he was not doing the burning, let him into Sarawak, lah. Why fear his words?

After all Sarawakians are very disciplined and there would be no fear of sentiments being played up. What say you, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nancy Shukri and Marcus?

Let Ibrahim into Sarawak lah. He will only say he will burn bibles and according to you that is okay.

'Bible-burning urging only for Muslim parents'

wg321: Perkasa chief Ibrahim claimed that his call to Muslims to burn the Malay language Bible is only directed at Muslim parents whose children were allegedly given the holy book.

Obviously. this is just an afterthought to defend himself. Besides, the efficient police have not arrested anyone who allegedly gives the Bible to Malay children.

If the hysterical Ibrahim has no solid proof, it is just hearsay. He just wants to create fear and unrest among the races.

Kee Thuan Chye: Hahaha! Who does he think he's trying to fool? If he had meant it only for the parents of the students who received copies of the Bible, he should have said do specifically.

Hey! He was on national media! In any case, is it Islamic to ask them to burn the Bible? A simple ‘throw them away’ would have been enough, surely.

Ibrahim must think Malaysians were born earlier today.

Apa nama: Even if the call was only for Muslim parents, it does not justify the use of the word burn.

This fellow has crossed the red line and should be punished as a lesson to him as well as to other bigotries. But in 1FunnyMalaysia, he is scot free!

Nil: If your children are given the Bible, which they are not supposed to read, then the right and correct thing is to teach them to return them to the giver, with the proper and appropriate explanation and dengan hormatnya (with respect).

Is this not the humble Malay Muslim way? Burning the Bible is wrong - very wrong, and highly contemptuous.

Dood: By that logic, is it okay for non-Muslims who are given a Quran to burn it? I hope Ibrahim says yes.
