Malaysia wins UN Security Council seat

Malaysia has won a non-permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), taking 187 out of the total 192 votes.

The voting took place at the United Nations General Assembly hall in New York to fill five vacancies among the Security Council’s non-permanent membership.
