He said that 1MDB had spent RM 382 million as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) drive since being established in 2009, and that most of the money came from profits reaped by 1MDB.
“Write something positive about 1MDB. They have been making profits since 2010. They only suffered losses in 2014,” Ahmad ( right ) said during a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.
The amount by Yayasan 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) was spent between 2010 to 2014, Ahmad Maslan said.
The biggest expenditure came from repairing old homes for the poor under the Nadi Kasih programme in 2011, which cost them RM90.5 million.
“1MDB is the biggest CSR contributor among all the companies under the Finance Ministry,” he said.
“Be fair to 1MDB, don’t only write cynical stuff about them,” he added.
