YOURSAY ‘The Malays don't need people like Ridhuan to defend them.’
Is Umno that despicable, asks Ridhuan Tee
Tholu: Ridhuan Tee Abdullah, you lament that nothing good was reported by the anti-establishment social media.
You tell me Ridhuan, was there a single person in the Umno assembly who spoke anything good about the Pakatan Rakyat parties? Is Pakatan that despicable?
You see Ridhuan, your rhetoric only reflects on your character - your vengeful, jealous, biased and intolerant character.
And by the way Ridhuan, are you a Malay? Converting to Islam doesn't make you a Malay, otherwise we will have to assume that all Muslims in the world, be they Europeans, Arabians Middle Easterners, Indians and Chinese are all ethnic Malays.
Mushiro: Since Ridhuan has denied that he said everything about Umno is good, he should say what exactly about Umno that is not good.
It may be helpful to know a Chinese Muslim view about the negatives in Umno. Ridhuan seems to be on a mission to help out the Umno Malays and the Umno Muslims.
And why does he want a Chinese to head PKR? There are enough Chinese and Indian leaders doing well in PKR compared to Indian and Malay leaders in Gerakan.
Fair Play: Ridhuan, the answer to your question can best be answered by this question, that you and only you could answer.
Why do you think the right-thinking Chinese Malaysians hold you in such contempt? If you know the answer to that, you have the answer to your question.
So, now after not getting what you wanted, are you trying to play reverse psychology with us?
ZhuGeLiang: The Malays don't need people like Ridhuan to defend them. They are capable of taking care of themselves.
In the long run, it is racists like you who will destroy the Malays. It is so ludicrous to hear people like you perverting the minds of the Malays that they are under threat.
How can the Malays be under threat when they make up 70 percent of the population, controls the government (even if the opposition were to take over one day), controls the police, army, judiciary, government departments and all the big business (government-linked companies, GLCs)?
Today if a Chinaman wants to do business, even open a simple chicken rice shop; he will need a licence. Who is the one who approves the licence?
Kilgore: People should realise that Umno deliberately uses people like Ridhuan to distract the public from the bigger crimes they are committing continuously.
Perkasa, the Allah issue, dog petting are all distractions while they continue to pilfer billions out of the country.
Don’t forget, Najib has paid millions for the best propaganda specialists in the world. They want us to react to these petty issues, so we don’t have the energy to fight the important ones.
Uragt: Umno has failed to deliver, failed to help the poor, instead enriched themselves; mainly because absolute power corrupt absolutely.
The opposition on the hand has proven they can help the downtrodden, including Malays, with whatever little resources they have. It is time they are given the chance. Race is not the issue.
Versey: I suppose Umno and the team who manned it are two different issues, those who know the founding objective of Umno know best to comment on it.
However, one cannot deny that academic plagiarism is condemned universally, and it's acknowledged fact that plagiarists are definitely despicable.
Not Convinced: Clearly, Umno cannot run with the hare and hunt with the hounds. It cannot continue to turn a blind eye to the incitement of hatred by its leaders and its goons, and think that it can come out smelling good.
Otherwise, it will be regarded by the non-Muslims and a growing number of Muslims as worse than despicable.
Anonymous_3e86: Indeed, "despicable" is perhaps too mild a word to describe Umno. Even words like horrible, evil, satanic, vindictive, cruel put together aren't enough to describe it. The word to describe it hasn't been created yet.
BTN: Umno has ruled the country for over 50 years and they did not do anything worthwhile to help the Malays, but on the contrary make them pawns in their political drama.
Are they despicable? The answer is ‘yes’. Yes, for making the Malays so dependent on them that they lack the courage and know how to excel by themselves in this competitive and globalised world.
Why get so jealous and blame the Chinese for working hard to make ends meet when they choose to wait for handouts.
All those drama at Umno meeting proves that it’s a fail party which does not have a clue on how to manage a country harmoniously.
Condemning others is what they are good at. Once the Malays really ‘bangkit’ (rise up), that will be the end of Umno.
Aziz Kader: Why do Muslims need Umno and PAS to defend Islam? Faith comes from the individual, not from political parties. Are political parties above Allah? I as Muslim believe in Islam, not political parties.
