NS files bid for leave to appeal in transgender case
The Negri Sembilan government and four others filed an application at the Federal Court in Putrajaya today to seek leave to appeal against a Court of Appeal landmark ruling declaring invalid the state’s Syariah Criminal (Negri Sembilan) Enactment 1992 which criminalises Muslim transgenders for cross-dressing.
