YOURSAY ‘They’re using what they are famous for - all brawn, no brains.’
Perkasa: Penang CM not 'holy pig', arrest him
Worried Sick:
Penang Perkasa Youth chief Mohd Rizuad Mohd Azudin said CM Lim Guan Eng should be arrested and warned him not to meddle in Islamic affairs.
He said, "I want to tell him that he (Lim) is not holy pig (babi suci). He is a wild boar (babi hutan) and should be expelled from Penang."
But who is the real wild boar? When you call others such insulting names, you should also look at yourself. Only another wild boar can recognise its own, don't you think?
Gerard Lourdesamy: Why is it the police do nothing when these Perkasa thugs and gangsters threaten and intimidate others? Are they above the law?
It’s the same rent-a-mob crowd going by their pictures. The majority are not Malays but the Penang Indian Muslim crowd. It is time that the Indian Muslim organisations in Penang step in and condemn the behaviour of these imbeciles who are neither Malay nor Muslim going by their antics.
The CM can be called a pig or whatever, but these cretins do not even have a pig's brain to begin with. The more Perkasa shouts and screams, the more rational voters from all races and religions get turned off from voting Umno or BN.
Why tear down the Christmas and New Year greeting banners in Ipoh since none of the Christian churches were involved in the statement made by the Penang CM? This is nothing but intolerance and provocation.
Boonpou: It makes me sick to my stomach to see and read the comments made by these bunch of hooligans who call themselves Malays.
They are most definitely not representative of their race, those that I grew up with who are honest, humble, and courteous neighbours and friends.
This really begs the question: what are some of the processes that are manufacturing such hooligans who are without any decency or class.
Doc: There you have it, Perkasa's 100 eminent Malays in action. They are using what they are famous for - all brawn and absolutely no brains.
Appum: Perkasa's action of late is becoming more violent and uncouth. It seems to me that Perkasa is showing signs of desperation because more and more moderate Malays are coming out to express their disgust of the organisation, Isma, Pekida and the likes of them.
Desperate people are a danger and menace to society. The police should act promptly to protect others from these desperados. After all, isn't that what police are paid to do?
Sali Tambap: These people worked themselves up into wild frenzy of hatred. One cannot reason with them as their emotion controls them. This kind of thing can turn ugly and blood may be shed.
Do we want our beautiful country goes spiralling down this path? We are supposed to have laws to deal with this kind of lawlessness. If there is anything that the police should do, then this is one such - stop this before it too late.
Lamborghini: As a loyal taxpaying citizen, I am deeply saddened and alarmed that these religious bigots can speak so seditiously and act so brazenly and get away with it.
Are they a law unto themselves? Why are the authorities not hauling in extremists like these who are threatening the very fabric of our multiracial and multi-religious society?
I am getting the impression that as long it is Perkasa and they are championing a particular religion, then they are above the law and untouchable and can do and say anything they like without getting into trouble.
What have you got to say, Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar?
I think the police should be arresting these troublemakers who are making uncouth, uncalled for and uncivilised language against a state leader instead of wasting time investigating the Penang CM, who made his statement based on the law.
Vgeorgemy: Saddest of all these incidents is that such extremism is funded by taxpayers’ hard-earned monies. Furthermore, MCA and Gerakan, which oppose Islamic laws, but only in Penang, Selangor and Kelantan, remain silent.
Hplooi: These people were very clearly inciting, rioting and disturbing public peace. Sections 503 to 508 of the Penal Code have particular relevance.
These Perkasa leaders should be nailed on 503 (criminal intimidation) and 508 (Act caused by inducing a person to believe that he will be rendered an object of Divine displeasure).
Where are the police? If they cannot even get this right, how the hell (pun fully intended) are they going to ensure the fairness of hudud.
Iskandar Shah: And where is the remote-controlled PM Najib Razak? He appears to be an absentee prime minister. He should now show his authority to stop the rot and not go around shouting ‘Satu Malaysia’ slogans.
It looks like he is too weak to assert his authority. If he continues to behave like that, former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad might use this as a weapon to get rid of him.
I still believe Najib is a good man but unfortunately there is too much arm-twisting and he is unable to put his foot down.
Unafraid: It is very interesting and telling the kind of people behind this kind of raucous protest every time the word ‘Allah’ is mentioned no matter how innocuous the circumstance may be.
They are clearly brainless and moronic to say the least and they only follow one type of law: the law of the jungle. They think that by doing what they do, civilised people are scared of them and give in to their fanaticism. How wrong can they be.
They are just making a fool of themselves in the process and even more serious, they are a disgrace to their noble religion.
Rather than being cowed, right-thinking Malaysians despise such hooliganism and shower these fanatics with the utmost contempt.
